Yeah, but the team who is drafting in Carolina's spot in the draft (the Bears) likely will. So any wins by Carolina help our draft position, especially if we are targeting Williams or Maye.

Also people have to realize that a trade is in place for any team with a top 5 pick that doesn't need a QB.

Zappe was granted two drives that started in tremendous field position. He only could score on one of them.

Gostkowski missed four <40-yard FGs his rookie season.

My guess is Ryland will get another shot next year, but there'll be competition.

I am not saying he won't turn it around, but going into this game he had the second worst FG percentage in the league. He probably has the worst. The season isn't over yet and Ryland has already missed one more field goal than Gostkowski did his rookie season.

Personal bias: my preference right now is Maye > MHJ > Williams. If they get a top 3 pick, they take the highest one available.

This QB race is really going to boil down to the predraft process. It could make or break quite a few of the qb’s chances of going top 5. Maye, Williams may be the consensus now but if guys like Nix or Daniels show well, they could both surge up draft boards. Guys like McCarthy, Penix etc. could be in play in back 1st-top of the 2nd. It’s going to be interesting seeing how this qb class shakes up.

Each game that goes by should make the decision more and more confirmed for the Krafts.
It's clear a lot of this team doesn't care. But all of the coaches. Fire them all!

That D gave up 10 points, all off turnovers and short fields.

Offensive line allowed them to run the ball well.

Our QBs are the worst in the league by far. Not sure what you can do when the most important position in sports is such a waste. It is really hard to tell what is going on in the trenches other than the fact we can't seem to generate enough pass rush. JC Jackson is not long for this team. Those are 2 things I know.

But no one can tell me if the WRs on this team are horrendous or just saddled with the worst QBs imaginable.

It was one play and it was his second read. And it was an easy read to make since Thornton had a step on his man. Show me a play where he has to quickly go down multiple check downs and find a receiver in a more difficult coverage.

Same game 21yd completion to TT11... Ted Johnson had a good breakdown of a number of his good plays that game including that one where coverage was initially good and he had to buy time...There was even a rollout broken sack tackle throw to Henry for a TD that called back that. Zap was really good that game.

I hope they keep Zeke as long as he's not expensive, he has looked good. Rhamondre + Zeke is a good foundation for a young QB. Pop looks good. But they need a WR1 too.

Whether or not you like Zappe. And no he's not a great QB by any means, maybe not even a good one...

When all is said and done Zappe came within a Chad Ryland choked 35 yard gimme field goal from taking us into OT!

So all things being equal, Zappe still gives us a better chance to win than Mac "Interception" Jones!

That being said, maybe the whole point now should be to LOSE more games for a higher draft pick!

In that case, by all means, let's run out your boy Mac Jones until the Cows come home!

I don't know if either give a better chance. That last drive started on the 50 yard line and Zappe almost threw an interception.

And Mac not my boy. I said the guy should be benched.
