Well no Brady didnt get beat by Foles, they were not playing Ping pong. QB's are the most important player on the field, they can change your entire team around, they can make the bad good and the good better. The good ones can. Brady could probably as much or more than anyone ever. Brady didnt get anyone fired first of all, because Arians was not fired, second, coaching had little to do with that record that year. Thats a 2 win team without Brady, they won 8 because they sat their starters in the second half with a lead. There is not anything got bailing out a player, that doesnt exist. You do not seem to undersand the concept of valuable and most valuable, and you want to act like its all equal, and its not. If you do not understand that there are QB's that abolsutely make teams better, then football might not be your thing. Basically you are saying all QB's are equal and their success depends only one what is around them and coaching. False. If Zack Wilson is the QB of the pats starting in 2001 and through 2019, we dont have 6 superbowls if everything else stays the same. If you think they would, then Im done with this conversation with you.
If I’m talking to someone proposing that QB’s are responsible for all things, then I have to talk to them in their simplistic language to get through to them… so yeah, based on their flawed value system Foles beat Brady. I think it’s as absurd as you do.
In 2022 Brady refused to report to work, threatened to retire. Arians stepped down, and the next day Brady showed up for work. You can pretend this isn’t how it went down, but that’s how it went down.
And yeah, the Buc’s O ranked #1 in pass attempts and 32nd in rushing attempts… clearly a lack of coaching had something to do with it. QB’s are really important, but they can’t be both player and offensive coordinator.
Blind allegiance to TB12 isn’t honest or objective.
Also in no way did I imply all QB’s are equal, that’s just a silly interpretation of what I’ve said. I’ve said there are other great and good QB’s in the league, and what puts them in the playoffs and winning rings is a great team. There’s never been a bad team dragged to a championship by a great QB in history, there’s numerous examples of a great team dragging an average/good QB to a championship.
In 2001 playoffs, if Troy Brown and the special teams unit doesn’t return a punt for a TD Tom Brady has one fewer ring.
In 2016 Tom’s defense, run game and special teams (mostly Dion Lewis being a one man wrecking crew) carried him through a poor performance against the Texans… or he has one less ring.
Attributing team success to one player in the ultimate team sport is a childlike understanding of football… if you think this way feel free not to converse with me.
