I watched the entire U of Wash/Utah game and from my view Penix looked damn good to me.

He’s been a binkie of mine since his Hoosier days. Only red flag I acknowledge is his injury prone body. I just love the player and will be pushing hard for some Penix!

Their thinking is/was Rham and Zeke as the passing backs - which I don't disagree as there are benefits, but the issue is they can't run the same kind of routes or have as good hands as they did.

Mapu’s NFL story has not been written after 9 games, coming from a small school and being played out to position for most of those 9 games.,

TanK Dell was picked seven spots before Mapu.

Laporta was picked THIRTY-FOUR spots before Mapu. Asinine to include him, but not surprising.

Wilson was picked a few spots behind Mapu, but unless you were pounding the table for them to pick him at 76, you have no right to criticize the Pats. Once again, easy to ace the test when you already have the answers.

Why does Jackson have a cap number of $14M?

It’s for 2024. I thought it was for 2023.

The patriots traded for Jackon. The 2023 hit was under $2M. Just add $13M to the 2024 cap and presume that he is replaced by Bolden. We could re-sign him to a new contract, but he definitely isn't going to be paid again under his old contract.

To be honest I would like to spend the next 7 games with a different QB evaluating the offense. I have been wondering all season if the offense is actually this bad or if Mac was making it look worse than it was. I’ve been considering the idea that perhaps with Zappe or Grier, who are both probably lesser passers but more mentally tough, if the team goes with a more run-first scheme and leans on play action, the offense may end up looking less error prone. Not pretty, but maybe not crapping on themselves as often and probably enough to score in the 20s and play complementary football if the defense can hold up (which, somehow, the defense has been largely fine despite the injuries).

It wouldn’t really shock me to see the team morph into a really vanilla but yet more productive offense under Zappe/Grier and be better for it, and scratch out several wins. If that’s the case then you may not feel as bad about the offense as you did.

I know this is hard to believe (to me too), but 24% of that draft is still in the league.
