You and me both man. But it seems obvious to me that Bill thinks they have a better chance to win by managing Mac's emotional state like this than they would by going with the other rostered QBs.
I think Mac's proven he's not the guy so may as well switch guys and see what you have. Worst case scenario is you still don't have the guy and you still lose. Hey, you just draft the guy/sign the guy next year. At least you'd have a better draft position with which to do so.
