Wonder if Brady sells his partial ownership now and we can do the right thing and give him partial ownership of the Pats.

I wonder if Mcdaniels had promised Davis he was getting Brady as QB and when that never happened.
I thought the other owners voted against Brady buying in saying that his buy in was not properly valued (too low). regardless if it is McD or someone else, Brady would be a perfect person to have in the fold to lean on.
looking down the road with JK as owner, I could see him NOT giving all of the football decisions to 1 person, and having someone to lean on. that could have been Brady

Stop using this excuses. 3 coordinators didn’t make Mac Jones bad. He was bad before having 3 coordinators.

We don’t need help. We need to move on. We have to stop trying to bring back past guys and expect a different result. We need a new philosophy.
Refresh my memory what was the results last time we brought Josh back?

The last two drafts tell you everything you need to know. Davis is making the right choice pulling the plug before it really gets out of control.

Getting rid of Carr, who Adams had a relationship with, in favor of Jimmy G was idiotic.
They aren’t going to get any good GM candidates going forward after they saw how little trust/time Davis gave the past GM.

Brady doesn't own a share of the Raiders yet.

"Tom Brady's bid for a minority stake in the Las Vegas Raiders has hit a snag, according to the Washington Post's Mark Maske and Nicki Jhabvala.
Maske and Jhabvala reported the NFL's finance committee has yet to sign off, citing "the discounted price Raiders principal owner Mark Davis is offering Brady."

Being paid for another team next 4 years? Bill will 100% hire him.

That's his specialty. Hire guys being paid by other teams
I'm sure Kraft is also a big fan of that strategy.

With every passing year Bill's coaching tree looks more like a rotting tomato plant.

not a fan of bringing him back.
not only did he leave, he took many with him, leaving the Pats in the lurch, after they made him the highest paid assnt coach in the league.

This is probably the end of the gravy train for Pats coaches in the NFL with Bill looking as bad as he is. Josh failing again. Flores who looked promising now looks like a joke for wanting to push Tua out instead of build around him. Nobody on the current staff is doing enough to merit attention.

Mayo is the only one.

I am not sure how exactly McDaniels would fit back in NE. Obviously Bill loves to bring back guys being paid by other teams, and Josh has a whole 4 years left on his deal. However, BOB is doing a fine job and I don’t know to what degree Josh would necessarily do better, if at all. The offensive issues have a lot more to do with Mac ****ting himself than the play calling.

Since Bill can’t bring Josh back as a full OC anyway, because that would cancel his HC cash, I can maybe see a sort of “QB consultant” role where Josh mainly just works with Mac to try to get him back to a good place this year.

Who cares about modern elements?

PPG
2018: 4th
2019: 7th (but bad after Week 8)
2020: 27th
2021: 6th
2022: 17th
2023: 31st

Good QB play = scoring.

While crappy, the Cam Newton offense also had modern elements and scored more than a TD a game than this current group.

Do we even know what he does and his impact?
That is a great question. The belief is he is a great communicator, with the players, very intelligent, and strong w/ Xs and Os.

The Panthers thought highly enough to want to interview him. Who knows.

Welcome back "offensive consultant, passing game coordinator" Josh McDaniels

Mac needs a dedicated QB coach just to get him to work on his fundamentals.
