Suicide Pick 'em Contest: W12 Results: Irishfanatic, the Champion is Crowned ??

For those who've been bounced... And those still active... What about adding a second chance pick next season? The pool I used to be a part of had a buyback.. cost 10/week to buy back in.. so you lose in week 8, week 9 buyback would cost $90... steep... But in a pool that ended with a kitty over 5 figures... Well, I will let you all decide if it was worth the risk...

This contest is simply for fun and as we all know the prize is a Marvel® Noprize* (no prize) which is of course an empty envelope...

Could do it simple - straight up... You get one shot at redemption... Lose again and doneski...

-or-

ATS - much more difficult - the pick after a loss would have to be made against the spread where your pick will need to win & cover the spread ... So we don't have confusion, the spread would be based on that weeks point spread set in the Huckleberry Casino ... if successful, you are back in, and make normal picks thereafter... If not you're out...

I like the second option of beating the spread. That would be my vote.

What about a midway second chance this year? Completely separate from this contest everyone has all the teams active for the send half of the year.

Eh that's not too bad. They've played in the 90s there a bunch of times. I also like Mac a lot better in the heat than the freezing cold.
How do you like our DL and OL after the heat wears them down in the second half?

Could easily put up a second bracket... Was thinking about it if the main contest played itself out early

This is the farthest I've gotten in a "Suicide Pick 'em" game. Usually I'm out the third or fourth week. My last 2 picks, Browns and Bills each came down to the last play of the game which had my pacemaker working overtime. I don't expect to survive in the game much longer so I would welcome a new second half bracket if you decided to do it.

Just my

This is week 8... So it's about halfway... Week 9 be a good starting point...

You'd keep the original contest going too, right? I'd like to see how that plays out.

Absolutely... The whole point

The second contest would be the "NIT" bracket

Week 8 Dallas

If I had to pick between the two options I would also choose the second option of beating the spread the following week.

Well there aren’t anymore easy picks for me moving forward.

Week 1 - Ravens
Week 2 - Cowboys
Week 3 Chiefs
Week 4 - Gold Rushers (49ers)
Week 5 - Dolphins
Week 6 - Buffalo Bison
Week 7 - Seahawks should’ve run the ball

Week 8- Lions

I'll go with the Chargers this week please. I'm hoping that the Bears new QB isn't Purdy II.
I have to change my pick. I didn't sleep last night because I picked the Chargers. Give me Philly instead please.

I like the first option and another contest this year for everyone.

I like the idea of starting a second totally separate bracket at the mid-way point every season. Probably will get more interest because summer is over, and people are paying way more attention to the NFL now.

Yikes. I almost took the Jets this week. Still time left in that game, but damn.

1. Washington
2. Dallas
3. Philly
4. SF
5. Detroit
6. Buffalo
7. Seattle
8. Miami
9. Browns

Ravens
Giants
Chiefs
Eagles
Dolphins
Bills
Seahawks
Chargers

Browns

Nah we need to make fun of the losers

I'm still in denial so I'm not a loser in my mind
