And so embarrassing for BB like other things when walls come tumbling down. We all knew that was a horrible signing from the beginning but we all know BB saw it differently Checkers vs chess.

I wonder where he wanted to go?

I found out where he considered transferring to. Steve Mariucci tried to poach Tom from Michigan and told him he'd be their starting QB for Cal Berkley in 1996. That's when Tom went back to Lloyd Carr and spoke to him about not getting many reps. After his conversation with Lloyd, he decided he shouldn't run from competition and stayed at Michagan. This makes it even more bizarre why Steve passed up on him in the 2000 draft.

If you're wondering what Colleges Tom initially wanted to play for. USC was his top choice and UCLA was right there as well. Tom didn't think these schools would be interested and he told his Dad that he should send his game tapes to small schools so he'd have a better chance of playing. However, his Dad talked him into sending his tapes to big schools including Michigan. Not clear if USC had any interest, but they signed a big recruit which took them out of the running. He did receive a scholarship offer from UCLA, but they quickly rescinded it when they also signed a big recruit. I'm guessing it was Cade McNown. After getting interest from Michigan, he decided to go there. Cool video.
