For anyone who said that Belichick had no opportunities to get a legitimate #1 WR, he could have gone after Christian Kirk. He isn’t Tyreek Hill or AJ Brown, but he is a solid #1 WR who had over 1,100 yards last year and on track for the same this year. He was a free agent last year. There was no word the Pats showed any interest.

Instead of trying to get Kirk, Belichick decided to go for the value option of trading for Parker who was inexpensive. Kirk got $18 million a year. While Parker only cost like $6 million a year. To Belichick, that made Parker the far better receiver.

Kirk is worth every penny of his contract based on the going rate for receivers. Parker is way over paid at $6 million a year based on how he is playing this year.

I‘ve notice they have let tackles get away with false starts for awhile now. Trent Brown gets away with it all the time. He only gets flagged for it a relatively small amount of times.
