Kinda obvious tbh.By all accounts Barmore did play well on Sunday. My thing with him is for a guy with that much talent he seems to disappear for long stretches. When he is on he tossing guys around like he was Sunday.
I think it's over as well. Greatest coaching run in professional sports history.Really feels like the end of Belichick as head coach of the Patriots. Might be needed just so we have a full reset.
The in bill we trust people need to ask themselves, in all seriousness, why on God's Green Earth, would anyone want to play for the Patriots? Coach with a terrible losing record over the past 4 seasons (25-31 and going the wrong direction), Old stadium (by NFL standards), no weapons on offense, terrible special teams, average defense, no playmakers, the list goes on and on and on.
The only reason would be $, but we know Krafty Bob and his Ebenezer Scrooge GM are wont to throw around nickels. Same contract, same terms, is Player A going to come to New England, with the aforementioned issues plus generally ****ty weather for 25% of the season, or is he/him/his going to go to Miami, the J E T S JETS JETS JETS, or Buffalo. That's just the division. Every single one of those teams is a more attractive destination than One Patriot Place.
LOL. Being malcontent in times like these may indicate only a clear understanding of times like these. Being content with the present state of affairs may be a sign either of delusion or of masochism. I myself have put my pom poms away in a dresser drawer with mothballs and a rose sachet pending some credible indication that better days are in the works. I remain hopeful (This is not the pom poms' first stint in the drawer), but to this point, I see no such indicationMalcontents? Half this board
Kleiman as people have eventually realized isnt a reporter. he is just quoting other reports and adding his own ideas. he is like florio back in the day.

Which means "Yes I have seen the whole internet crapping on me for dropping that pass then doubling down and being a tool about it when asked".
And I guess I missed the added excuses yesterday.
The question is, who cares about that though? If the players that buy in still are mediocre, it's just more Belichick using people he's comfortanle with as shields.I think if Bill does stay, this season definitely will show him what players are bought in and what players are not. Who keeps playing hard even when they know there's not much or any hope? There are a few guys on defense like Peppers, Tavai, and honestly Myles Bryant that fall into that category, and Barmore has come on strong as the year has gone along, which is a great sign. On offense, it's mostly been big fat turds, but Bourne has mostly turned in a very good effort regardless despite being double/triple teamed, a couple false starts notwithstanding. I'd say Henry and Gesicki have both consistently played hard too. Zeke definitely has put a lot of effort out there when he's gotten his touches.
They need to really overhaul this roster next year either way but it does show what players truly give a ****.
I think it could matter if Mayo replaces Bill, because I think Mayo will employ a similar culture but with fresher ideas. Or if Bill stays in some sort of alternative role, etc.The question is, who cares about that though? Mayo honestly shouldn't replace Bill. If you think the Bill Belichick approach isn't working, you don't put his proteges in the drivers seat. You move on. Especially when the focus of this team really needs to be on offense right now. We need a guy that is going to be committed to fixing one of the most pedestrian offenses for the last 5 years.I think it could matter if Mayo replaces Bill, because I think Mayo will employ a similar culture but with fresher ideas. But is the Belichick approach no longer working because the approach is bad or because Bill has lost it? The approach could still have merit, maybe. Mayo might be able to implement a new take on the same ideals.Mayo honestly shouldn't replace Bill.
