He has elite speed, great athletic ability. Your right we are devoid of playmakers at all positions on offense. It's too bad it didn't work out here for Mac.. I think it is a Matter of time before we see him behind center.
Is there something you wanna tell us?Hopefully contract includes free meals at Luciano's ... he needs more girth.
Don’t most draft picks get a four year deal without any snaps or catches, even preseason?3 year deal to a guy that hasn’t played 1 snap in an NFL game other than preseason and had 0 catches.
Bill trying to throw up a Hail Mary and hopes he gets another Edelman.
Tells me another team offered him a similar deal.
guys would you please get the story straight. He’s either a desperation Hail Mary by Bill, or he’s in demand with other teams competing for his services. Doesn’t seem he‘d be both. Which is it?3 year deal to a guy that hasn’t played 1 snap in an NFL game other than preseason and had 0 catches.

I think Grier could be cut and then signed to the practice squad, but only if he clears waivers. That seems much less certain for him than for the Zapster. So who's the odd man out after this week? Zappe or Grier, one of them is gone or to the PS. Zappe I think can go back to the PS, not sure about Grier.
With all the smurfs in the slot they’ve had short WRs for decades. The been short WRs for 4 seasons.
I was just wondering if Bill is ready to unveil his updated version of the single wing?I think it’s pretty obvious they are going to run some wildcat and why not.
Does signing him to a 3 year deal mean anything?
I mean don't 7th round draft picks sign 3 year deals? But given how NFL contracts are not typically guaranteed it really means nothing.
Yes, all draft picks get four-year deals (with a fifth-year option for first-rounders). All UDFAs initially sign three-year deals. So basically this deal restores his original UDFA deal, and avoids the need for the ERFA rigamarole.Don’t most draft picks get a four year deal without any snaps or catches, even preseason?
what’s important is whether anything in that contract is guaranteed. If not it’s really less than a one year contract.
Four of those TDs to CunninghamThis is all misdirection for Will Grier to go over 400 yds and 5tds
OK, I'll play along. If Cunningham is somehow the answer, the Patriots could give him an extension him after next year, and would be nuts to allow him to reach RFA status, where they could lose him for a single first-round pick. This isn’t what’s happening in all likelihood, but a funny thought did cross my mind - if the Pats find that they really like Cunningham by year’s end and want to build around him, then they are still within the “capitalize on a rookie QB deal” window. They’d have 2 years of minimum level salary after this year, plus he would be a restricted free agent for one year after that where they could retain him with a 1st round tender which still wouldn’t be much money. So overall there’s a window to seize on a cheap QB contract here, on the off chance that he is “the guy”, but that’s definitely a very slim likelihood.
I was thinking he lines up under center in the Wildcat, with Grier split out. pitches it to Grier then goes out to catch a pass from Grier. That's the first thing I thought of. The 2nd thing was a throw to him behind the line of scrimmage and then he passes downfield.
They’d be able to match any offer.OK, I'll play along. If Cunningham is somehow the answer, the Patriots could give him an extension him after next year, and would be nuts to allow him to reach RFA status, where they could lose him for a single first-round pick.
In theory, at least. They’d be able to match any offer.
Great job. 6 Sb championships with of incompetent. You are so funny.I was just wondering if Bill is ready to unveil his updated version of the single wing?
