I was ok, with swapping receivers initially. But I didn't know Smith-Schuster was still dealing with knee issues. But the Patriots should have. If I knew then what I know now about JuJu's knee, I would never have been on board with letting Meyers go for Smith-Schuster.
He wasn't "still" dealing with knee issues. he passed his Pats physical and hurt his knee in training camp. This is a massive miscalculation by the GM of the NEP - he loves signing guys with injury histories because they are usually 75 cents on the dollar....Bills history as GM is chock full of signing "injury guys" and guys on their last legs, especially at skill positions.

A win for McDaniels and it puts Oakland squarely "in the hunt" for that last WC spot.

Are you even sure he took a physical? Not every free agent gets a physical before signing.

And even if he did, it could have come back with a red flag and they decided it was worth the risk that he would be back 100% before training camp. Hell, the Pats signed Trey Flowers and immediately put him on PUP and he can't even be activated until after this game.

I don’t even care if we lose this game or not. I just hope we don’t get our cheeks beat again. The Raiders are actually susceptible on the back end as long as you can get Crosby blocked, which I wouldn’t hold my breath on.

Stories are heating up with Kraft upset with the Pats current situation right before the Raiders game. This is a must a win for Bill. If you think it's ugly now, it's going to get real bad with a loss on Sunday.
You why the Krafts are pissed that beautiful upgraded Stadium with that jumbotron won't be in prime time in 2024. Make a business decision Kraft: is that what $20Mill gets us these days??

People are talking about Patriots being sellers at the trade deadline.

I have a different thought... IF (big if) the Pats miraculously win these next 2 games @LV and vsBUF
Would the Patriots actually become buyers before the trade?
BB knows his seat is super hot, he would NEVER tank and doesn't want to go out a loser.

Make a move for Jeudy, Brian Burns, maybe La'el Collins or an explosive 3rd down RB...

This would be a perfect time for BB to get his 300th win.
He's never won at Alegiant Stadium, and he's never beat JMD as opposing HC, and we lost there last year in the most absurd way ever, and Meyers represents the worst of his many personnel blunders the last 5 years...
I'd love to see the offense light it up and just maybe kick-start something to cheer for this year.
(my hopelessly optimistic Thursday morning take)

With Mac as his QB that's envitable.

Skippy beat Bill with Kyle ****ing Orton starting at QB. Bill had the GOAT at QB. Think about that.

I was thinking of that SB Juju that caught passes from Mahomes at the time of the signing. Not this Sluglike Juju who can't get out of his own way also Juju never saw a camera or microphone he didn't like smh.

I personally dislike the fact that they're still starting Mac, but at the same time, if they can get him turned around and playing well, he will really appreciate that they stuck with him despite his screw-ups and the world saying to dump him. And IF he does get right and play to at least a league-average level, that helps the team significantly. They might still be able to build around him next year. It's make or break for him. The easiest pathway back to contention for the team would definitely start with the QB they already have getting it together.
I want to build around a guy who has shown that he cannot bring a Team back from a score down?? NOT!

Bob doesn't like getting embarrassed and it was a bad look going 2-4 vs Parcells in the late 90's with one of those wins almost losing to a punter playing QB and barely beating them in 1997 in OT.

Bill losing to McDaniels for a 3rd straight time, 0-2 vs Jimmy and now the Meyers situation will infuriate Bob so much he will have no choice but to visit the Orchids of Asia day spa for relief.
Rock and a hard place for BB...one have to think that McDaniel's seat is kind of warm too. Unlike us the Raiders spent $$$$ in FA for some pretty good players. Also the Raiders are playing the easy part of their schedule with the Patriots - Bears - Jets and Giants on tap that should be Four easy wins right there. The Raiders should be in the Playoffs mix in the AFC.

If Mac is the starter, it’s not gonna change.
I'm not sure that they have anyone or can get anyone else who can change things. This is as low as they've been in many years.. Basically, we're stuck with what Bill gets us.

TB12 will probably be in the building and I would imagine cheering against us.

That's just wrong man.

JMD might tank for BB which would take the heat off for a bit.

BB could give JMD a deal on a player trade this offseason.
No way that happens. BB has no players to give him.
