They are all true in my mind, which is I think it is a waste of time to try to "turn things around this season." We are obviously in a very serious rebuild over a much more extended period of time than the remainder of the season. The entire focus should be on evaluating what we have, on laying the groundwork for Bill to be deprived of all prerogatives and responsibility for GM work starting right now, and on making decisions re re-signing/trading/etc. players whose contracts are up. This season's record is irrelevant to all of this. In fact, though I think it unethical to "tank," it is a fact that worse the season, the better our draft position. It is what it is, as we used to say around here, back in the days when we were capable of honesty, though to be frank it used to be a lot less painful to be honest.
