8 for 230 and 3 TDs for Moore holy ****

Out of all the Qbs drafted same year as Mac no team has done less to help the QB than the Patriots.
Eventually people will realize Mac Jones is not good.

How many people will lose their jobs cause of this hack quarterback who is no better than he was his senior year at Alabama.

So far just Patricia.

I’m not saying he’s great or anything, but it’s true he’s had less talent to work with than any of the other qbs in that class. Would have been nice to see him operate with legit NFL talent around him.

What a performance by Moore

Mac would never be able to complete this pass. His ball would float and that underneath defender would have intercepted it.

Mac can complete it if he stops dancing, plants his rear foot, and drives the ball. We haven't seen it much because Mac is a dancing bear.

Mac's never had a receiver capable of making that catch, so it's a moot point. Just last week he had a receiver unable to make a perfectly placed touchdown pass in the endzone in a tighter coverage.

Multiple things can be true. Mac isn't the guy and the Patriots roster management is a big reason why his development made it that way. Fields at least has a guy like DJ Moore who he can consistently rely on (and aside from this game has largely played poorly).

I'll say it again, if everything about the Patriots were the exact same except you swapped them for the Jets, we'd all be having a laugh about how they did all the typical things they usually do to ruin their QB's.

Every team that invests in a QB tries to get him a solid offensive line for protection and some passing weapons in that order. His offensive line is worse than it's ever been and one of the worst in the league and he has no playmaker WR's and some of then can't even do routine things like toe tap and they are amongst the worst in the league at getting seperation.

Frankly, a lot of people deserve to lose their job, regardless of whether Mac deserves to keep his. Like it's objectively true the Patriots have done the absolute worst job of surrounding him with talent of any of the first round QB's taken in that draft and frankly, you'd probably need to go back to 2017 to Mitchell Trubisky to find a similar situation.

yet people here claim that fields is a huge bust...well if Fields is a bust then Mac is a bust too because Mac does not perform better nor is Fields in a better situation than Mac. Fields coaching sucks

Lol. Sure, having the 3rd best defense in the league by EPA/Play since the day you stepped on the field and getting Bill Belichick as your HC makes no difference. Jones has won 17 games in the NFL, 9 of those came when the Patriots allowed 10 points or fewer.

The Bears have allowed 10 points or fewer three times in Fields' career, he won all three games as well. Just swap it out, have Fields with his defense allowing 10 or fewer points 9 times and Mac's defense only allowing 10 or fewer points 3 times and Fields' career record would be better than Mac's. There are more ways to help a quarterback than just providing him with wide receivers.

We all know the stat that says the Patriots under Mac haven't been able to win when the opponent scores 25 or more points, right? Well, the Bears have allowed 25 or more points TWENTY FOUR TIMES in Fields' 32 starts. Just let that number wash over you. For Mac that numbers is 13, and he's started 35 games. So 25+ in 75% of your starts versus 25+ in 37% of your starts.

Mac stepped into the league in a much better situation than most first round picks and certainly a much better one than Fields.
