This is Allen's 6th year. They were saying that in his first year. He had a massive improvement BEFORE Diggs got there. I live in Buffalo so I get to watch a lot of Allen and he has never been gutless, always stood in there, but he couldn't read defenses and threw inaccurately.

He is a protoypical raw rookie who became better each and every year including when he didn't have Diggs to throw to.

You guys are severely underrating how bad Mac is.

Bill won us 6 super bowls but he's made horrible decisions since Brady left. Like drafting a young qb 15th overall and then hiring Matt Patricia to coach the offense. Not drafting trading or signing any talented skill position players.

Caleb Williams, its over boys. Time to pull the band aid off and rebuild. WE had a hell of a run. Mac is so bad, no talent on offense, its a joke.

I'm reading this and shaking my head:

It should be crystal clear that Mac is a skittish, gutless QB, afraid to take a hit, turnover prone, horrible form, throws off his back foot, a guy who the other players HAVE NO FAITH in.

When you compare him to other QBs and say they would be equally bad here playing behind our OL (even though some of the people mentioned have much much much worse OLs) and with a less than stellar WR group (understood); you're ignoring the fact that there are many middling QBs in this league who are not afraid to step into the pocket, not afraid to step into the throw, QBs who aren't reckless with the ball, etc.

To say MANY other QBs also wouldn't have a chance with this team is totally not true, and it's a sure sign you are underrating how bad Mac is.

Remember Scott Secules? Tommy Hodson? I thought I'd forgotten them. But now I remember them.

I think this team is going to quit. Not for the game. But for the year. I don’t see any strong leaders like Bruschi, Law, McGinest, McCourty, Brady, etc to keep it together. This team has the 2009 Pats written all over them.

That team made the playoffs.
