Game Day Thread 2023 OFFICIAL GAME DAY THREAD: Week 3 - NE @ NYJ

THIS IS OUR LIVE GAME DAY THREAD:

This is where we gather to follow things on Game Day. Obviously, emotions tend to be high so if anyone gets a little crazy, the use of the “Mute” button is encouraged on anyone who may be annoying to you to control your experience and to allow the moderators to also enjoy the game.

At the same time, please take a deep breath before over-reacting for the sake of making this a pleasant experience for everyone.

Lastly, we have never allowed promoting the use of any illegal streaming. This is illegal and will be enforced by copyright holders, which puts this site at risk. DO NOT POST ANY LINKS to those platforms.

This also means, there absolutely cannot be any mention these platforms, spaces, special characters, etc. - so do not get creative in trying to work around this request.

If you do you will have your account suspended.

I do not have the means to deal with legal issues and have already been contacted previously, so this absolutely needs to be adhered to. If you see any illegal links, please report them so a mod can remove them.

i think punky is due for an INT

NO BALLS Bill, just kneel on the ball for the rest of the game.

Didn't realize how hard it's coming down. That at least explains things on both sides a bit more.
It's not a downpour but it's definitely enough to make the ball slippery and cause issues in the pass game. Makes sense to keep running it even though it's not working and be conservative. Also makes it harder for the Jete to come from behind down 10 in those conditions.

Surprised there's no TO's this game with the weather
Pats are playing ultra conservative with the lead, turnover is the only thing that beats them right now

0-2 no need for style points I guess

Our inability to run has made this game unnecessarily stressful.

Miami is taking Denver to the cleaners. Scoring at will

Weather is pretty bad, and this is likely the worst turf in the league

Damned the offensive Line finally looks likes its getting some traction and Strange goes out to the Bike. I hope he's back next series

BTW- Yah know whose name feels GREAT not to hear. Lowe. Haven't heard it called once. Music to an OLman's ears. SILENCE

Gotta get some catch and run plays at this rate, and hopefully at least get on the board one more time in case anything fluky happens.

I had hoped we would beat the Jets convincingly enough that we could feel we have at least a decent shot at competing with good teams. I don't see it yet, tbh. Beating the Jets in a closely-fought, error-filled game ain't gonna do it, is it?
Pats playing conservative, not wanting to give the game away. What we saw in first half is more of who they are.

Randall Cobb. Yikes.

these teams are much more similar than they are dissimilar...facts
That is relatively true, but remember that the Jets were a "super team" until one guy - the QB - got injured in week 1. So you're kind of accidentally complimenting the Patriots here by saying this...

So scared of Mac throwing that they need to wait for 3rd and long to do it.
What do you mean third and long, bob will have jones throw on third and three

Conservative offense in **** weather up 2 scores against Zach Wilson. It's not too hard to figure out.

Lotsa frustrated fantasy footballers here?
