@Pape Here is the is the video from that play from behind Jones. This has nothing to do with Jones' pocket awareness. And he has zero responsibility for that sack.

LOL! You saying he was in the shotgun doesn't change your complete ignorance of what pocket awareness is or just your complete bias against Mac Jones. Sorry but every pocket QB in that situation would have taken the sack. If you just throw it away with three guys barreling down on you right after the sack, you risk throwing an INT. In this situation, you protect the ball and live to fight another day. Mac did the right thing there.
oh my god.

I literally cant believe you said that.

So its better to take a ten yard loss than toss the ball out of bounds and lose just a down?

yeah... we fundamentally disagree on that

LOL! When you have a guy barreling down on you before you can even see the field, you risk an INT or an intentional grounding. Sometimes it is just better to take the sack. It isn't a great option, but it is better than wildly throwing away the ball without being able to targeting where you are throwing.

all i see is a guy too slow to get out of the way. He saw them coming. couldnt get out of his own way.

If you watch the Miami defender starts creeping up to the line prior to the snap. How Mac does not see this I don’t know. But he should’ve reset his protection or call time out as you could see we didn’t have enough blockers to get the Blitzer.

Do you think he should have ran into Chubb or Van Ginkel? So your problem is he was sacked by a LB and not a DE? He had nowhere to run to.

So at least we established you are just so biased against Mac Jones that you criticize him if he doesn't make plays like Superman. And I am not talking Cam Newton in his prime, but Kal El.

We're talking about games won at the end. Not 4th quarter comebacks. Games are won at the end of them when you have more points than the other team last time I checked.

and we see you are willing to fight to the death to protect his reputation as .... what exactly... i mean you're already describing him as almost "Brady-like"... think hes ever going to win the division? i dont.

The LB didn't start to run forward until just before the ball was snapped. It wasn't like he was cheating up. He tried to blitz on the snap count. At the point Long tried to start to run. Mac was focused on Andrews to get the snap.

People will try to find any way to blame Mac. Even if Strange picked up Long, Chubb and Van Ginkel were immediately onto top of Jones and that had nothing to do with the LB blitz.

I am willing to fight to the death about a false narrative about the guy. Yes! I would do it for any player on this team.

You want to talk about real issues and mistakes by Mac in the first two games, I will gladly engage you in a real discussion. You want to talk about his struggles throwing to the right sideline this season, I will probably agree with a lot that you say.

And yes, on a play where Jones stands in the pocket and delivers a 14 yard pass when he knows he is about to get hit, I call that Brady like because a signature move by Brady. Jones is not Brady like. That play was.

But he didn’t time the count. He tipped off that he was coming which should have signaled to Mac to call time out.

Rob it has been pointed out Mac has terrible awareness regarding the Blitz whether it's real or fake DC know this and that's why they blitz him so much he gets rattled.

A half a second before the snap. Most QBs wouldn't see that in the shotgun when they are trying to focus getting the snap.

Again, you are putting higher expectations than most QBs in the league. Brady might have caught that. Most QBs wouldn't.

I rest my case your honor again poor awareness by Mac mix up your cadence and adjust your protections that's on the QB.

Mahomes would have Allen would have just to name a few.

This isn't the case. Long was not selling the blitz until Mac was actually calling the snap. Long tried to time the snap count. He was half second too soon. It was a disguised blitz by Fangio.
