Wait, Sunday is a throwback game?

Just your random Wednesday Boutte-support text.

It'll be interesting to see how he responds today in practice, and on Sun. night. As long as we don't have Patric-ian coaches who bench him because of his mistake, and can help channel his energy towards proving himself, we could have a good thing going with him.

I was worried they were going to bench Elliot after the fumble, but they kept playing him and he did fine. I don't think the coaches will come down too hard on Boutte, but use it as a teaching experience.

Especially because I don't view those things as huge mental errors. He didn't false start, he didn't run the wrong route, and he didn't lash out or anything. It's a technique thing, which I think they view as a coaching point and not an action to be punished. Now, if it keeps happening and he never corrects it, then that's a different conversation.

Agree. Troy brown I'm sure will teach him about positioning his body to make sure he watches where his feet are on the side line. I think he played well and showed the abilities that he was drafted on. The rookies will only get better as they continue to play. Going forward Miami and Dallas are not dropping 30 plus on our defense.

I will be honest, I feel pretty good about the Miami matchup. They will probably give up some yards and around 20 points but I think the offense will be able to get in a much better groove this week. The Miami defense is not nearly as scary as Philly's and it (hopefully) won't be raining. And, maybe they get a little OL reinforcement, and maybe Parker returns.

Agreed, Miami Of course is talented offensively. For some reason we seem match up well with thier skill guys. I believe The Jones' skill set is more in line with hill and Waddle. Marcus' speed in slot can run with Waddle. Jon can also stay with hill and not let him best him deep. Gonzo of course will be asked to play zone and mix in man we need to get the ground game going so than can open up play action.

Elliot's a proven vet, while Booty's an unproven rookie who never should've been on the field during that final futile drive anyway... If Bill had yanked Zeke after his fumble, then the Entire post-draft "team building" period would've been a Complete Waste.

A lot of people overrating the Phins because they played the hapless Chargers. It won’t be long until Brandon Staley is getting fired and Herbert is onto his third coach.
