So one thing lost in all of the hubub - which will go away next week when we beat Pittsburgh handily, is Brady's quest for Manning's unbeatable record of 49TD's. With the way the schedule is playing out and the results over the last two games, not diregarding the weather, it starts getting a little iffier. The fact that we're actually running the ball in short goal situations doesn't help. Tom's had 3 TD's over the past two weeks. With four games left, he needs two a game to tie it, but with them all but sealing everything in two weeks, it does make you wonder. This is a record I'd really like to see broken for a lot of reasons.

I'm getting a little nervous about it too but keep a couple things in mind. Over the last two games we saw a Moss TD stolen by the refs and 2 dropped Watson TDs. They are still throwing for what should have been 3 TDs in the past two games.

Couple that with the weather and the fact that these two teams played vastly better than what the Jets and Fins are capable of and I think you'll see Brady get at least 2 every game with 4 or 5 in either the fins or Jets game or both. I can see them resting at 14-0 or 15-0 but not the Jets game. Plus even Brady resting= 2+ quarters of work.

IMO, at worst he gets 2 next week then 4 the following week and we no longer worry.

Watson and Moss both dropped sure TD's last night. Brady threw two without even trying.

I think he still breaks Mannings 49, just not by as many as I thought he would a few weeks ago.

It would be quite a feat considering Manning played 9 dome games the year he broke the record - Brady will have played 1 this season. Weather obviously becomes more of a factor for the remaining few games... Hope to hell he does it. Maybe hell get 8 against the Jets and Phins...

Uh guys, the record would be cool, undefeated would be cool, but these are all decorations. I still hope/think we're in a rough patch (!), HOWEVER, whether that's the case or not, what matters it making it to and winning the Super Bowl. Okay anyway I guess everybody knows that. Just a sanity check here.

and please don't try to nickname him 'tbrad'

Not to worry, Tom will make up the difference in these past few games with the Jets game! 5 TD passes anyone!!! lol

He only needs to average 2 TDs for 3 games, then get 3 in another and he's fine.

The back to back Jets/Dolphins home games will seal the deal with the main man, I say he gets it in Miami.

Undefeated is not a decoration. If we fail to reach the Super Bowl? Then yes. But if we do what we're expected to do once we reach the playoffs 19-0 makes us immortal, the greatest team of all-time.

Not just a decoration.

Yeah - gotta love the 3 home games in a row, then a quick jaunt down to the Meadowlands, then home field throughout the playoffs. Nothin' like home cookin'.
