Apparently 49ers rookie TE Cameron Latu is having such a horrendous camp that he’s in danger of getting cut even as a late 3rd round pick. For example, he fumbled away his only catch in last week’s game and had two drops in practice yesterday.

The notable connection here is that he had 12 TDs and almost 800 yards over the last two seasons at Alabama with O’Brien and new TE coach Will Lawing. If things keep going poorly in SF, he might be an option for the Patriots via heavily discounted trade, waiver claim, or even just a practice squad spot.

Geno Smith was always better than he showed with the Jete Debuff.

I'm not saying he's an MVP or anything like that, but what we saw last year is a lot closer to what I expected of him in the NFL. He was *electric* in college, and had plenty of arm talent. That **** doesn't just disappear overnight.

I know where that place is... I saw signs for it when we were leaving the airport in Charleston SC for boot camp... Having lived the first 3 years of my life in Somerville MA, I thought at the time what a silly way to spell Somerville... Wouldn't see that sign for another 13 weeks...

The Jets OL is playing very poorly. They are down two starters and aren’t willing to play Mekhi Becton with the ones. If they don’t fix this, I can see the Patriots feasting.

That Broderick Jones ****block looking better by each practice.
That said, I thought Becton was going to be a beast though I always preferred him on the right side. He just mauled people at L’ville.
Edit: yeah I know the story the Jets weren’t going to pick him but I call BS on that.

Can't help notice 1 of my 2 main draft binkies Trey Palmer for the Bucs beating Sauce on this (60yd?) play in practice. With Gage out perhaps for the year, Palmer's already finding himself in the starting lineup as WR3, especially with that great TD catch in preseason game 1. Time to move on Jimbo... let it go.
