As a rookie, Perkins was transitioning from being a 3-point DE to a 2-point LB. He's had a great mentor in Judon. However, the injury during camp last season clearly curtailed him. I know a lot of people wrote him off, but this is only his 3rd year. This is the year he needs to start getting reps and making waves. Doing that now, is a good thing.
Being able to roll out Judon, Uche, Perkins and Jennings with White and Wise for Jumbo/inside DTs should really keep them fresh. Seeing Perkins get "2 sacks" today is nice, but it will be better if he does it in Pads.
I remember last Preseason he was getting pushed around by guys whop were going to be on the streets. Perkins would be something if makes some noise in pads he looks the part.

Mike Giardi isn't a fan of the Patriots' receivers. Hopefully today made him feeel a little better.

None of them are 1s, or 2s, and maybe not even 3s? The guy is a clown. Felger says Wow! JJSS was a #1 or #2 last year on the Super Bowl champs, but this year he is maybe not even a #3? Boston sports media is a clown show.

Mac is improving every day in the new offense. Like to see. It is still just camp and you cannot read too much into it. But last year, Mac and the offense started out bad and stayed bad all training camp and into the preseason which transferred into the regular season.

He's correct none are WR1 but Parker, Juju and Bourne are WR2 on most teams in the NFL. We won 6 Super Bowls without a WR1. Could a WR1 help Mac? Sure...probably a lot.

Our wide receivers are better than the Chiefs from last year when they won it all.

Shows how much a #1 is needed... we literally have their #1 WR from last year.

The desperate need for "a #1" is fan fiction. It's more important to have a handful of WR's, a couple of TE's and a stable of RB's who can create mismatches and be dangerous... than one single magical player. The better group (collection of talent and execution) wins over who has the single best player.

Lol KC has Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. You need at least one elite weapon in today's NFL

Travis Kelce was and is their #1 WR (even though he's officially listed as a TE)

eta: damn Guts beat me to it

All the teams with franchise caliber QB's and a superweapon who failed last season disagree.

He's a TE, and we have two of those who are really good. Two is better than one.
In theory yes let's hope it works out
But I'd still feel more comfortable with the team having an elite weapon

Doesn't look like that'll be the case. Luckily the defense looks like it can keep the team in games

I like Mac more than most and have fought against the Pats need a #1 for years, but I think that only works if you have an elite QB.

But Kelce is just as good as #1 WR. The guy did have over 1,300 yards and 12 TDs. That is not only #1 WR type of stats, but top 10 #1 WR type of stats.

Interesting that they tried Sow at RT today (2nd team). Haven't seen any comments on how he did (the 2nd/3rd lines as a whole were apparently very bad).

Really?? Has Thornton become Valdez Scantling yet c'mon Wozzy lets not go there yet.

We have no clue what Thornton, Marcus Jones or Douglas can develop into.

We have never seen Gesicki or a healthy Hunter in a great offense.

This is right up there with Joe Thomas’ claim that none of the 2019 Pats’ offensive linemen would be starters for any other team. That’s right, they simultaneously had the worst starter at each of the five OL positions.

Actually Hunter Henry's name is being called Mike Gesicki not so much I'm a little concerned. Also it seems like Sokol and Firkser are more in the mix than Gersicki.
