So, last year we needed a #3, aa veteran to help our youngsters. Mac showed much IMPROVEMENT that now the #3 is no longer needed. ??????
Your right, we did need that veteran and it was hoyer.. now we all know why hoyer was MIA... I'm thinking it's going to be a vet off a teams practice squad... & that other camp arm will be zappe.

I think they may draft a kid later on in the draft. There are a couple guys who could be had in the 4th-6th that fit the system decently.

He does, however, have a real QB coach this year. Mac, that is, and I think BOB will provide all of the right hard coaching which Mr. Jones has asked for.

Presuming that BOB really has control of the Offense, and Bill will but out, then we have the developing Mac and Zappe. I prefer to have a veteran #3 or #2/#3, perhaps at a Bridgewater level.

Look at 2022. SF was extremely lucky to have their 7th round, #3 QB be as good as he was.

I suppose, we could just close our eyes and hire a QB off the street if there is any injury.

The fact that Hoyer agreed with Mac Jones is the reason he was cut. The Veteran agreed with the 2nd year player.

Yeah I was saying the same thing... not sure how many picks we have in those later rounds.. but I know BB will surely be moving around to try to get the players they target..

I think that when your 2 QB's developing youngsters, that a veteran presence is a good idea. A mid-round draftee is OK, but really puts question around both Jones and Zappe.

Sure, we could have 6th or 7th rounder or an UDFA for the Practice Squad.

To save the roster spot, perhaps an Assistant QB coach could meet the need for a veteran on the 53.
=======
BOB needs to focus on the entire offense. He can't be the advisor/consultant sitting next to Jones and discussing the game with him, and helping him see things. And, NO, that person is NOT Zappe.

Bill takes control back in a few ways: by having less dysfunction in the building putting together a real coaching staff like he did when he first started, holds his son accountable for getting overmatched vs teams .500 or better and an Owner not on the same page with the HC.

Using the metric the boards loves "points per game", Dean Pees got fired and his defenses' held teams to 14 points per game in 2006 (2nd in the NFL), 17 per game in 2007 (4th in the NFL), 19 per game in 2008 with hardly any talent (8th in the NFL) and 17 in 2009 (5th in the NFL). Pees was the scapegoat when they lost big games. Now Bill has a 10-20 record vs teams .500 or better since 2020, but the son is still calling plays. That is dysfunction. If there was a named DC not named Belichick, media and fans would be asking for him to get fired.

Lol "his team!" As if the problems in 2022 weren't caused by Bill Belichick.

Instead of hiring an ACTUAL OC he hires two bozos who have never done the job before. And now after it was an abject failure. How dare anyone question that decision!

It wasn't just one person pointing out how incompetent Patricia and Judge were, either. Multiple sources pointed out how disjointed and unfocused the routes were. How terrible the blocking schemes were.

Mac was not seeing things. It was THAT bad.

you forgot that these two bozos also coached the OL, moving Brown to LT.

I don't want Little Billy "taking back" Mr Kraft's team.
We've seen how well Bill did when he took Brady away from Mr Kraft's team. Bill's been Wrecks Ryan since.

I cant understand you people.

If you believe your coach isn't up to it, you FIRE him.

Otherwise, having a coach undermined is a guaranteed 100% recipe for failure. Why are we even having this discussion?

Is this really Bill's team? I'd say it's the fans' team more than Bill's. We're the ones paying his bloated salary.

I suppose that it is great that fans believe this.
==============================
Kraft pays the salaries of the coaches.

If no fans wanted tickets, they would all be sold to corporations, businesses, and even to charities. The real money comes from TV and streaming contracts.

And sure, folks could stop watching free TV to spite the owners. The reality is that the NFL is one of the most watched products during the season, and most of the top-rated individual shows of all-time.
=========
The dance now is for the graceful exit of Belichick. I'm sure that Jonathan is all ears with regard to proposals.
=================
Hopefully, Belichick retires after this season or next at the latest.

Belichick won't break Shula's record while in New England.

That should tell you a lot about the quality of the coaching. You’ve got to love Bill bobos. A longtime backup good enough to he brought back by Belichick is now a worthless deceitful back-stabber because he supported the 2nd year QB whose career was being jeopardized by Bill’s irrational Patricia-Judge disaster. Such foolish blind loyalty.
