NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION Official 2023 Free Agency Thread

I wonder if we could do Jeudy and Sutton for a first.
Eff it take them both.

They’ve got to be asking a first for Jeudy, minimum. Elite, complete flankers don’t come around often.

I would do the second without blinking.
Knowing Bill we are pry stuck over a 6th then Buff swoops in.

Yeah he’s worth a second but Denver would be mental to accept that.

Not a good sign BB is serious re OL. If helathy he is a good option for NE, i mentioned him as a target but would prefer aiming higher..
agree..but who is a higher target than him other than brown...mcgary, beachum or fant maybe..

Or low on picks.
I mean the Wilson trade was astonishingly stupid but I doubt they would be *that* dumb. The receiver market is completely out of control. The Chiefs got a first, a second, a pair of fourths and a sixth for Hill AND Miami then had to pay the guy. Jeudy is on his rookie deal with a fifth year option available. Someone will give them a king’s ransom for him.

Yeah the money, the player. It screams mediocre.

Would you do 14 straight up or would you want something back?
I’m not moving that first for any position other than quarterback. The roster isn’t complete enough to be mortgaging the future. Too much trade back opportunity with the draft class and position. You can really stack capital with the 14th pick and get ammo for more aggression in following years.

Maybe the Pats don’t go after a starting safety after all

Kind of an odd thing to tweet out right now. I know many of us have theorized Bill would try him at safety if they added a corner or kept Jon Jones, and they did keep JJ so it makes some sense. But not sure why Mills himself is saying that at the moment.

Feels like they still need a bigger corner, not necessarily a lockdown guy, but all of their current corners are very small so certain matchups are just bad mismatches. It worked fine for the most part last season but I would be lying if I told you I didn't have a little trepidation about it still. Maybe Bill thinks the Triple Jones CB corps will remain solid in 2023 and 2024, I don't have much reason to doubt him right now.

Need the 14 pick for OL. Would give a 2 for Juedy and sign Hardman.

Juedy
Hardman
Bourne
Parker
Thornton

Not a horrible 5 WR

They only wanted a 2nd last year when he had a half year more left on his contract. It's gotta be less now.

Presuming that Peppers comes back, we might be fine with Jones or Mills at free safety.

Of course, that means drafting another two corners in a very good draft for corners.

starters outside- Jones or Mills, Jones/Jones on the other side
nickel - Wade/Bryant (if we choose to re-sign him)
open - 2 draftees

Counting on two draftees and two 2nd year players seems like a big ask. It may be easier to draft or sign a starting safety as to draft a starting corner, especially if we are also drafting OT's in the first and later.

Bill normally is right on DBS but those Jordan Richards, Gus Scott players always somehow sneak on the field.
