OT Bears Trade #1 Pick

Seems very steep considering none of the QBs are generational talents. I would hate to give all that up to draft Young, Stroud or… Richardson…

Yep, and so early too... Didn't even bother to wait until their pro days...

On paper a good deal for da Behrs.

Historically speaking, two franchises who will both f up their picks because they are genetically dispositioned to do so.

Well if they both ****k the picks up it won’t matter Chicago got an elite WR not some phantom pick to go with it

Great move for the Bears, especially since IMHO there's a great chance next year's #1 from Carolina is a top-10 or better.

I don't think anyone in this draft is worth the capital Carolina gave up....

I'd imagine this was done to grab Richardson. That's a lot to give up for Bryce or Stroud.

Bears now get more draft captial and have 75M in cap space. Well done.

I didn't think it was a bad trade until I saw DJ Moore was included. Geez.

Congratulations on becoming a Panther, sorry we got rid of the two best players we had on offense,

Before we make a decision on who "won" this trade, we'd better wait for the draft. Carolina has let it be known that they are open to here from other teams about a possible trade down. Their GM feels that with the #1 pick, THEY control the draft.

It all depends on how the top 4 QB's go in this draft. Will some team become enamored with Richardson's, while other teams become wary of Young's stature. There IS no sure top guy in this draft. So right now the top 2 picks are very likely to be QB's if the order stays the same. '

So if some team in the top 6 comes to the Panther and offers even a better package to move up, we will all have to rethink our opinions today.

The Panther are just giving uo a low 2nd round pick and a good WR THIS year to get to the top. But the story hasn't been fully told. We shall see.

Can we get Chase Claypool from the Bears now?? Do it for a Second.

Why would any team who may have been interested in #1 deal with Carolina when they could have eliminated the middleman and just dealt with Chicago?

This makes no sense. If a team at #6 wanted the top pick, they would have indicated so to Chicago. They have 3 spots worth of better draft capital than Carolina had.

It could have been that the Panthers struck their deal so early. Remember its still over a MONTH before the draft. There will be a LOT of pro days. and individual workouts that will occur between now and then. Usually these deals are done much closer to the draft. I'd bet that most of the teams that were interested in that pick were a long way away from putting together a package

This is the first pick in the draft we are talking about, not #75. There aren’t going to be any big pro day surprises.

No. Just no.

Any team interested in that pick would have dealt with Chicago directly. Chicago no doubt had a few offers and took the best one.

DJ Moore is the key to this trade. Because I don't believe the Panthers ponied up enough otherwise. Remember, recent draft trades returned a lot more than that, if you go by the theory that a pick 1 or 2 years from now is the equivalent of a lower round. But if you value DJ Moore as a 1st or 2nd rounder, the value makes sense.

They traded 2 first a second and a WR1 nobody is topping that

Panthers are now driving the bus...schefter says Tepper likes Young, Reich likes Stroud... Maybe trying to force the Texans hand by playing the either or game... If the Texans are sold on one over the other (or any team looking for a qb), it might force their hand into making a move... Recoup some of those future picks, maybe?

You value DJ more than a 1/2 those picks could bust DJ is proven talent that frankly never becomes available and if they do you gotta pay up
