Pre-Free Agency 2023

IF we are scared to Draft WR's knowing our luck they're some decent FA options on the market Corey Davis is one of them.

Davis on a reasonable one year deal is interesting. Doesn’t turn 29 until next Jan, so he still should be in his physical prime. He and Parker are nearly identical in size (6’3”, 215-220). If he could bring the version of himself who made Gilmore his b*tch in the 2018 regular season, that would be ideal.

Let Davis and Parker battle it out in OTAs and training camp and then keep the winner as their downfield contested catch guy.

He was misquoted; he actually meant 4-5 million per year lol.

Forget about Tee Higgins I am on the Corey Davis train thanks for the reminder Real. They are similar in statue give or take 10 pounds though Davis may be faster: he would be a nice pick up like you said love his route running and catch radius. I passed on his last two Jets seasons for obvious reasons I think he would be safe FA signing he's better than both Meyers and Parker. Davis was a Beast in 2020.

Your absolutely welcome @PatsFan2 .
@Pape I think you should jump on board lol... Davis is definitely someone we should be seriously looking at..
You said it best he was a Beast at Tennessee and we absolutely have to discount his time in NY.. he'd be fantastic for this offense.. he goes ups and gets it, fights for the ball I'm definitely all in and he would be affordable I'm sure he'd since a prove it deal...

And that's telling as very, very few WRs made gilly lock look like that... I remember that game pats were lethargic like they didn't want to be there..

How Yes give me Davis, so I can envision and WR corps of Davis, Parker, Bourne, Thornton, (M. Jones) ....

Anybody here in there right minds think Meyers is better than Corey Davis?? I don't he would be a nice signing a proven player in this league and he's not that old. C Davis had some really nice years in Tennessee who seem to always have QB Issues last year could be excused with the Jets I Iike him.
I would take Jakobi Meyers over Corey Davis 24/7/365... the dude was the 5th overall selection, first WR taken... people here tore, and continue to tear into BB for drafting N'keal Harry at the end of the first round... could you imagine the pandemonium if we used the fifth overall pick on a guy who has yet to crack 1000 yards receiving? No thank you to another guy long on promise, short on delivery...

Yes, well...consider who you're responding to.

But you can't discount the fact that he was doing it with garbage QB's Mariota and Tannehill. Also on tape Corey Davis runs all the routes slants - drags - post you name it he's not afraid to go over the middle with his frame. Davis was the #5 overall pick for a reason if we think Mac10 can be good give him a talent like Corey Davis I don't think we've have seen the best of him. He wouldn't cost us a Draft pick or a daunting contract I see a lot to like here.

Meyers can't carry Corey Davis jock FYI we'll see what BB thinks though I would be shocked if he resigned Meyers at that ridiculous market price.

5th overall for a reason... wasn't good enough of a reason to stop Tennessee from kicking him to the curb... N'Keal Harry was a first round pick for a reason... so there's that...

and now is going to potentially be on his third team... because he's a cap cut...

There is a disconnect here that one of us isn't seeing...

Look at it like this the Jets Trash could be our treasure. The Jets have been known for their stability @ QB over the years NOT! Pape lets make a gentleman's bet I think if Davis goes to a Team with a good QB he will produce.

You don't like Meyers. We get it. You don't need to keep repeating yourself. Everyone understands your position.

I like him but not as much as you and some others for 15Mill+ a year that would not be prudent. I am going go on record and say we are not going to miss Meyers if we get the right pieces to compliment the current players under contract we have a Real OC onboard now.

Define production that we can both agree on, and then we have a bet. If I win, I get to say toldaso, if I am wrong I will post receipts showing a 5 or 10 dollar donation to the Jimmy fund . Shoot me a pm with the definition at your leisure

I'll settle for some crow soup or a public Patsfans apology if I'm wrong but I'd bet 1000yds for Davis this year with good health and a good QB.

I have no problem admit when I'm wr-wr-wr incorrect... The bet will be finalized after free agency then.

I'd take Myers and Corey Davis!!!

Davis had mariotta and tannehill throwing to him In Tennessee with work horse Derrick Henry touching the ball more than he was...

A Burned out Flacco, mike white, Zach Wilson in New york

I love Myers and everything he means to the offense. When healthy Cory Davis is an absolute beast!!! He could revitalize his career here if signed...

I like the idea of Cory on a one year, prove-it deal. If he's no good, we ditch him and next year's free agency period should have some much better options at WR.

I like that scenario because a guy like Corey Davis would draw the meat of the coverage and free up Meyers more so than Parker would.
