We need an infusion of athleticism in the linebacker corps.

Trenton Simpson will run a 4.3 forty at 6’3” 240?
I’m hoping we get this kid in our second fourth round pick, #116.
He's fast but he ain't that fast. If he runs sub 4.4 he'll go somewhere around where the Pats pick.Clemson has a junior coming out for the draft with the kind of elite RAS that Cole Strange had last year.

He won’t. You’re right. If he's a stud, why is it that you believe he'll last until the 4th round?
I'm a little behind but he'd be LB1No mention of Drew Sanders in the LB thread?

I didn't see where anyone expects the Pats to take a LB at 14. My choice right now (with a small trade down to around 20) is the beast Devon Witherspoon, CB or Cam Smith, CB. I like them both.I ain't taking him at #14, but if he lasts until #46 then I'll certainly have to consider him... Depends on what our situations at LT, WR & CB look like at that moment, both from #14 and from free agency...
My man! I get excited seeing both but especially Smith. He's still a little underrated in terms of a "name" prospect (maybe I'm wrong) but I'm a fan. Either one works and really would help in run support. Both play big boy football and would fit right in here imo.I didn't see where anyone expects the Pats to take a LB at 14. I would certainly consider take him at 46, depending on who else is there though (like a Barmore-type drop for a WR or OT).

Haha, yeah, it's why I mentioned pick 20. They could get creative in that scenario. I could also see Seattle use a combination of that 20th pick and move up to any of the top 3 spots (Young, Anderson, Carter, all studs). With the possible depth at our 3 main positions of need - LT, CB, WR - when we pick at #14, I might not at all be opposed to a small trade-down either... And Seattle has the picks to be a very good trade partner for us...
