I dunno what it is, but it just seems pretty small minded to me. No team wins a SB without lucky breaks at some point during the season.

Mahomes should be considered a top level historic elite QB at this point, and you can see the trajectory of where his career is going. You'll easily put him in Canton if it continues at his current pace. I doubt very much he breaks Brady's records, but he's tracking in that direction. The trick will be to see what type of team they put around him for the remainder of his career and who coaches him after Reid.

Andy Reid deserves all the accolades that will come his way. A 24 year HC career of mostly sustained success, 2 rings, and led two separate franchises to the SB. He's already punched his ticket to Canton, now it's just to see where he finishes. Like Belichick, there's fewer wins in front than behind, but he 100% has earned the right to be considered among the NFL elite of coaches.
Well said I love the an unbiased view when it comes on to another Team and their success. We know how KC Fans feel we had that same feeling Six times mostly in dramatic fashion. That said can't say I'm not a little jealous that Pat Mahomes is going to be 28 this upcoming season still in his prime and like Brady's control of the AFC East Pat Mahomes will control that AFC West Division as long as he's breathing.

Reid should be in the top tier of coaches now. 4 Super Bowl appearances and 2 wins and success with different QBs and different teams.

I blame the refs for the Hurts fumble that led to the TD. I also blame them for the non-catch that was a non fumble that was a non-TD for the Chiefs D. I blame the refs for having the CB Bradberry actually admit after the game that it was a hold, and it was the right call. Bottom line is the Eagles sucked ever so slightly more. They should have started/played Butler.

That being said, I do appreciate Olsen for saying what most people were thinking. I mean I've seen Pats jerseys getting grabbed significantly more this season without it being called. Chiefs were probably going to kick a 32yd FG, and the Eagles were going to have about 1:45 left with a couple of time outs. Far from guaranteed, but I'll bet the NFL would've strongly preferred that the game go into OT if we're being honest with ourselves. Stop being... what do the kids say?... butthurt. Absolutely hate to admit it, but Andy Reid may have just entered the top 10 all time HC list.
Andy Reid is Great HC/OC who can match wits with and beat the greatest.

Morning after, who gives a ****. Eagles boo’d Santa Claus, embarrassed themselves by booing the Walter Payton award winner and god knows what they would of done if Hamlin would of been injured in their city?

Bottom line, don’t agree with the call at all, but as Bill would say, “It is what it is?” The NFL didn’t do themselves any favors last night,, thats for sure, as now the word scripted and wwe are stronger than ever. No one is even talking about the game itself. Too bad because it was a pretty good one too.

I just don't get Pats fans wanting the throw shade on anyone else. What do we have to be jealous of?

I congratulate and toast the Chiefs fans on their success. We know how sweet it feels. Good for them, enjoy the off season, they've earned it.

Eagles could not stop the Chiefs offense. Sure, that was a BS penalty, absolutely inexplicable. But we have no idea what would have happened if that penalty had not been called. The game was tied. Chiefs earned their win, it isn't their fault the refs blew that call. Sure, it sucks, but by no means should there be an asterisk that is just petty nonsense. They are a legit great team.

BTW, F Kelce. Gronk is the GOAT.

I was trying to watch Kelce to see what he was doing, and he didn't look dominant while blocking. I felt he walked thru a couple routes. The dude is a player, 100%, but he's no Rob Gronkowski.

George Kittle is closer to gronk than Kelce. Kelce is just Jimmy Graham

He already was.

One of the better Super Bowl games. Exciting.
Congrats to KC, & Mahomes

Why should there be an asterisk? They are a great team will an all time great at QB. That was us for 20 years but the torch has been passed.

This. I do think that penalty was a big let-down. They always let them play it out in these situations in these big moments. It was absolutely inexplicable -- they should have picked up that damned flag.

But by no means is that the reason the Eagles lost. They had no answer to Mahomes in the second half.

Here's the problem: the league and Cheeves fans have deniability because there was a (small) tug on Smith-Schuster's jersey by Bradbury. I would not say it's "plausible" deniability. The penalty SHOULD NOT have been called, especially with that pass being uncatchable. Just the same, there is photographic/video evidence that the tug occurred which allows technical application of the foul.

Bradbury postgame quote: “It was a holding,’’ Bradberry said in the Eagles’ locker room at State Farm Stadium, with his teammates still numb from the 38-35 loss.I tugged his jersey. I was hoping they would let it slide.’’

Does anyone know who threw the flag? I don't know if it was (head ref) Carl Cheffers, but if not, Cheffers COULD have called an on-field conference and picked it up, but they apparently agreed on what happened.

One thing you have to admit about Kelce is that he draws a crowd on and off the field really want a TE like him on the Pats.

I don't get why they called the holding call especially since they weren't calling it for most of the game and it wasn't an egregious hold, but I don't think this is tainted. I think it is yet another case of poor officiating. You cannot let players get away with aggressive defense all game and on a huge play at the end of the game call a ticky-tack holding call for a ball that was uncatchable anyway.

Every time I see a bail out call, I think where was Mike Carey in Super Bowl 42?

Most tainted?
The Black Sox Scandal was a Major League Baseball game-fixing scandal in which eight members of the Chicago White Sox were accused of throwing the 1919 World Series against the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for money from a gambling syndicate led by Arnold Rothstein. As a response, the National Baseball Commission was dissolved and Judge Kenesaw Mountain Landis was appointed to be the first Commissioner of Baseball, and given absolute control over the sport to restore its integrity.

I think that wins.

IDK. When the player says it was legit holding and he was "hoping" that the refs would let it go, it is hard to argue about.
And I don't think it changed the outcome. They would have gotten close enough to kick the game winner, using up a bit more time and we wouldn't have had to watch the Eagles flail around at the end, which is just as much of a stain on the game if it succeeds.

They would have kicked it right where they were and don't forget the kicker already missed one, say he gets it, Eagles have about a minute and half with two TO's and they would have a great shot of at least tying the game.

The chiefs were winning at the time, would have kicked a fg. Far from sure thing eagles would have scored touchdown on last drive
