They're going to be obliterated. Jags have looked pretty bad for 2 weeks in a row despite winning.
Sometimes games like these act as an elixir propelling individuals and teams to greater self belief and greatness.. the game with chiefs might be closer than you think.

He actually is a great defensive mind. The plan they had against tua in that snf game this year was outstanding…. Hadnt seen tua look that bad this year besides when playing concussed or just returning from one.

Just an awful head coach
Cant call him a "great" defensive mind. His defense failed to uphold a 27 point lead in the playoffs while benefiting from 5 turnovers against what's arguably the worst playoff team in either conference. Sure, the offense could've scored a few more, but still inexcusable.

What? Rivers was legit 1-8 against us and the 1 win was the 2008 season when Brady was out.
Well, his D was horrible in a couple playoff games, but the last one who threw for about 330 and had 3 TDs. So that's pretty good

When?

The Chargers played press coverage the entire 1st half. All those short passes didn't work. Then they just....stopped. All those short passes suddenly worked for Trevor.
That deep ball for the touchdown was one that came to mind, and he had a couple of other decent ones. Again, you don't come back from 27-0 without making a few plays. I'm not anointing him as anything more than a guy that threw four picks but fought back and ended up with a win.

Bad coaching. The strategy should have shifted from contesting short passes.

They have idiot hotheads like Bosa on D and gamblers who get burned like Asante.

The Chargers with a new coach and a new tackle (assuming Slater comes back) will be scary, but their WRs are a little long in the tooth.
Agree with everything only I’d add they need to improve in the trenches on both sides of the ball. They need DT’s who can stop the run and push the pocket. They need to improve their OLine. They’re small… they get pushed around.

The irony of any Patriot fan saying all Lawrence did was "throw the ball short"

I remember a certain guy who dink and dunked his way to 6 Superbowls and no one cared then.
Please stop. Tom Brady doesn't just go out a run the same few plays over and over any hope the D just plays soft coverage. That's was happened tonight.

Find it interesting that the Chargers had 19 minutes time of possession with 3 min remaining in the 2nd quarter but then ended the game with only 32 minutes TOP. So out of the remaining 33 min they only possessed it for 13 when they should have been draining clock.

They won 45-42 in a crazy one in 2017 against Pittsburgh to play us. The statline by Roethlisberger compared to Bortles was nuts:

Beating KC would certainly be up there if that's how it played out.
That Steelers team was talking about playing New England before they even played the Jags.

Crazy.

It does appear as though it will be Buf or Cin vs KC in the AFC title game.

The one season the Chargers were something like 14-2 and the most talented team in the league with both Rivers and Tomlinson in their prime. Pats had one of their least talented team of their dynasty but still somehow beat the Chargers. It was hilarious seeing Tomlinson lose his marbles cause a couple players were dancing on the Chargers logo. With their choke job history, they actually deserve that disrespect.

3 second-half points is inexcusable. If they get even 10 points, it might have been over. But they played conservative and paid for it.

He was so upset after that one ... that goes down as one of the more satisfying wins during that era. ;)

I can’t understand how....

Stop what? I'm not the one who said Brady couldn't throw the long ball.

Lawrence is millions times better than Mac. No one should be dissing on him for winning a playoff game because they didn't like how he did it.

I can’t understand how Herbert took the 20th ranked defense of the Chargers to the playoffs, yet when they lose in the first round despite giving up 31 points after kicking the stuffing out of the Jags the entire game how someone can point the finger at the QB and say “it’s his fault.” The stupidity of that is beyond description… but it happens.
Staley’s getting the blame for this one not Herbert. And I think most everyone here would agree that Herbert’s a very good qb, clearly top 10 in the league. But he’s not the best. He’s not even the best in his division.

That one the Troy Brown, Defensive Back extraordinaire, game? yeah, that was a great one

I did not see Brady "Dinking and dunking" in SB 38, 49, 51, or 52. Those ones especially stand out.

No QB can "Dink and dunk" to 6 SB wins.

Yeah in in garbage time....

The Pats were up 35-7 at the half. Again.... what?
