I believe Jacobs is a FA. He may just let him walk or tender him. I doubt they franchise him.

Raiders need a total rebuild. That's the long and short of it. If Josh can convince Davis he's the guy to do it, he's fine. But he's really setting himself up for an excuse to get fired while they suck for a year or two and then get canned and having someone come in with a more complete team and making him look worse.

You basically need to build one of the best 5 teams in football too because that's what the Chiefs are going to be every year, it's a hard life coaching in a division with the best QB in the NFL in his peak years look at how many AFC East coaches lost their jobs trying to rebuild and find quarterbacks.
