They had no choice, really.

This defense still needs a CB1.

and Marcus Jones competed his ass off against receivers that were nearly a foot taller than him.. he wasn't getting feasted on, he was highly competitive even on their completions

He wasn't drafted to be an outside CB1, but he stepped up against some of the biggest and most elite WRs in the league and competed well

We need a shut down corner that's at least 6'1". Jack Jones is our best CB. JoJones, MJones, Mills, Wade, Bryant all getting exposed against elite receivers.

elite WRs expose virtually every CB in the league

Elite WRs are going to make their plays, that's why they're elite

He's pretty bad. And sadly, Marcus has fallen apart at DB lately in big moments - wonder if he's hitting a rookie wall?
Will Jack Jones be back this week? And what about Parker, haven't heard anything about his concussion.

Marcus hasn't fallen apart at DB in "big moments". You seem to love blaming Pats players for everything and never giving credit to the other team for making a good play.

Great. No Marcus or Jack Jones. Means we're going to get a healthy dose of Myles f'in Bryant.
I honestly hope BB calls up Quandre Mosely and Tae Hayes and plays them over Bryant. They can't be any worse than Bryant.

Even if you want to say he's struggled so what he's a mid round pick forced to start due to injury and he has flashed so much potential that a few negative plays doesn't change that.

Personally I think he might wind up better than Jack and I think he's looked good too. I know a lot has come on offense and STs but what Marcus has done so far is nothing short of special and there is no reason to think that much potential won't develop into an excellent corner.

This wasn't so much a criticism of those guys as much as a plea for a taller CB to face the WR1 if the team plans on being a contender.

Jo Jones is a good fast slot CB but asking him to cover a WR1 on an island just isn't going to work. I love Marcus. He brings so much energy to the team, is versatile and super fast. But again, putting a 5'8" CB on a 6'4" WR1 isn't fair to him and the reason he allowed 10/10 receptions. I see him as the future slot CB.

Who would have thought Marcus Jones would be a major absence in a week 17 game. He's going to be irreplaceable in the return game. His dynamic big play potential on offense will be missed too.

"Shut down" CB's are unicorns. This board is obsessed with something that doesn't exist.

He is what he is - a small CB forced to play on the outside. He's got the Ellis Hobbs syndrome where he can have pretty good coverage, but the WR will overpower/outjump him 9/10 times for the ball.

Does EVERY freaking thread have to devolve into your obsession? GIVE IT A REST! This is the Dolphins-Patriots pregame thread.
Tunescribe Harry!!

I have no idea what this means. But that applies to most everything else you post so carry on amusing yourself.

We can bet BB won't do that we know how loyal he is to borderline NFL players.

Who the hell we have left to play CB? Wade and Bryant?

IF our Offense have a slow start we have virtually no chance in this one. We all know Hill - Waddle or that RB can take a short one to the House. Having our Great Rookie CB's Out won't help either. Will this be the week Mac Jones and the Offense finally figures it out?? I am not holding my breath.
