What the hell is going on with Mills/Jack Jones???

Yeah I thought jones just had a knee bruise that wasnt too bad but obviously is bad. Mills had returned to practice a week or 2 ago then suffered a setback apparently. It may be too late by the time they can come back

Of course we do, it's all about making the playoffs and having a chance. Show me a fan or player that doesn't want to make the playoffs and I'll show you a loser.
That's a bit harsh. The more games the better is generally how I feel about it too. However, there's something to be said for improving their draft position at this point. If everything goes wrong (meaning they lose the next two) then I believe they could end up drafting as low as 10th. DeVonta Smith went 10th overall in 2021 and Garrett Wilson went 10th overall last year... I won't mind a shot at players of that caliber. Which would you rather have?... 9-8 and another wild card beatdown @BUF or 7-10 and DeVanta Smith?

Unbelievable! As good as our secondary could be, we haven't had everyone healthy almost all year.
If it's Bryant and Wade, we're toast - even with Teddy B at QB.
Is this new guy Hayes going to have to play in his first week here?

That's quite sound, strategically. I get the logic and agree with it, to some degree. But we are fans, not front office employees (unless I should know something about your credentials, haha). From that point of view, it's all about winning.

You're putting a lot of faith that BB would be able to pick the right WR. I'm thinking more of a Seymour or a Warren is more in his wheelhouse (Micah Parsons type at 12 would be nice).

That being said, I'd rather they make the playoffs.

Do we want to make the playoffs? To get blown out by KC or the Bills?
The only thing I can muster up for inspiration is the Giants teams 07 & 11. They were just like us this season couldn't stay out thier own way, 8-8 both times... they made the playoffs, and made noise Eli was a turnover machine, was infighting, finger pointing.....once they got in the playoffs ...... we all know what happened to our detriment... BOTH times!

We struggle to score 17 points and haven't beat a team with a winning record I believe. Our QB hasn't thrown for 10 TD and our best offensive player is a rookie CB.

We've struggled to win two in a row and only got to 3 consecutive wins this year bc of the ineptitude of the Jete and Colts. In a 3 game stretch the jete scored 17, Colts 3 and jete 3.

I don't want these guys hiding behind a playoff game when pointing at this season.

jonnu is also concussed. half the team is concussed it seems and wont play sunday

Marcus jones is a big hit

I honestly can see Jets beating SEA & MIA as more likely than Pats beating MIA and BUF. If the Jets make the playoffs what's going to happen to this thread?

What makes you say they won't play Sunday? Is that a given?

Don't worry, Zack Wilson has that covered all by himself

From this fans point of view it’s about building a team that can win a championship. We clearly aren’t there. I’m not really interested in Colts style playoff participation banners.

Would I like the playoffs? Sure. But realistically if we make it or don’t make it there is a huge overhaul that needs to take place. I just hope if we make it to the playoffs it doesn’t cloud the judgement of those in charge about the changes that need to be made.

Yeah, I get what you are saying. Right now, I wish we tanked at the end of 2020 with Stiddy behind center.

But I say you play it out and try to advance as far as possible. I mean the 1985 Patriots won three road games to make it to New Orleans…the 2008 Cardinals were waxed by the Cassel Patriots and finished below .500…that Cardinal team was one play or so from winning it all….

2007 giants & 2011 giants were dismal all year in those seasons finished 8-8. Got in the dance ... unfortunately we know the rest...

I mean I hope everyone is on the same page our first pick should be a left tackle. On that assumption do you really care if we we get the 3rd or the 4th one off the board?

The less interviews I can watch with Patricia the better. So to your point us Making the dance would allow BB to sell the hope n dream to ownership.. good thing is we have such a thing called game tape.. and the krafts habe had the best view!

17 points from this offense would take all 4 quarters to score.. It is just so difficult to watch the offense...
