Mac Jones last two weeks

LOL! Everyone has admitted he had a horrible game yesterday. Arguably the worst of his career. I don't look at him any differently today than I did yesterday. I have no idea if he is the QB of the future or a bust in the making. And I won't know until the Pats put him in a position to succeed and he either succeeds or fails. Unfortunately, that won't be until next year at the earliest if ever. It all depends on if Belichick gets him a real OC.
This, my friends, is what we call "the pivot".

Extremely superficial. The o-line doesn't give up a sack and Mac Jones has one of the worst games of his career so it has to Jones' fault that the offense sucks. That is the literal definition of superficial analysis. You are not looking at anything that actually happened in anything of the games and just took one thing and drawing a conclusion.
Lol, this whole time you're telling us we can't make judgements because Mac has no time and no open receivers. He gets time and open receivers and lays an egg against one of the worst Ds in the league and now that is superficial analysis

It's called conflict of interest!

When I say he has no time or the receivers can't get open I will point to actual evidence that is happening. But I do not look at a game like the one he played vs. Vikings and say "Jones played great in this game so that show you that the problem is with the offensive line because he was still sacked three times". I don't do analysis like that. That is weak, superficial analysis.

That is why I didn't even bother using the Vikings game as a counter to this weak and superficial analysis. I don't want to use weak and superficial analysis at all.

And BTW, I didn't draw any conclusions from the Vikings game about Jones' playing ability other than it was a great game for Jones and if he could do that more, he could be a franchise QB.

When someone is lodged that far up Mac's ass, he should just carve a heart on the inner wall of Mac's large intestine and put his initials in there.

I wanted Mac to be good too, but at some point you gotta say hello to reality.

Yep it's like if my Aunt had balls she would be my Uncle.

Again, the reality is that Jones has been set up to fail. Kurt Warner said that. Matt Hasselbeck has said it. Many other former players look at the the Patriots' offense and say that they are not putting Jones in a position to succeed.

And I want to see what the Pats have in Jones. Of course I want him to be good, but will accept if he is bad. But this year is a lost year and we cannot even start to judge that until next season. Belichick has so badly mishandled this entire season that I question whether he has lost it and he should retire or be fired. This is entire season from Belichick is Jets' like.

The thing is I am not a Jones hater. I see he hasn't been put in a position to succeed. To be perfectly honest, I would rather have had a real OC and o-line coach this season and we would know for sure Jones sucked and moved on than rather having this year be a lost season and now have to spend his third year to give him a new OC and new system and get a real honest evaluation on him.

Why not use the body of work...like, oh I dunno, 7 TD,s to 6 ints on the year and continually coming up short in games

In one game the other team scored zero. Every QB in the league wins that game. So we are down to one game against a mediocre Browns team as his glory to prove he deserves a start. When he played against the same opponent as Mac the next week…. he played like crap.
He scored twice to Mac’s zero scores and one INT. Why do you guys repeatedly ignore that? Oh yeah… you have an agenda.

A wet rainy game where Zappe enters midway, engineers two scoring drives immediately is an uncomfortable truth for you and no sample size at all. Especially when his defense and team around him gave up afterwards.

Mac will be the starter next year; he may or may not be the long term solution for this team; and if he isn’t the long term solution beyond next year, it sure as hell isn’t going to be Zappe. They will draft/sign someone else.

Because I don't look at the end of last year superficially. He had good games and bad games during that stretch. Some of it wasn't all his fault either because the defense sucked.

Again you are just doing what the OP poster is doing, Take good games and bad games and lump them together to make the play look worse than it is. How can you completely blame him for the Bills games when (which he was ok in the playoffs) when the defense didn't force the Bills to punt in two full games? That is why I don't do superficial analysis like this.

Zappe under threw wide open jakobi meyers by 10 yards; was just fortunate no one was within 25 yards of him so he could backtrack and roll into the endzone. Then proceeded to get every pass batted down in the 2nd half. Hard pass on Zappe

If it wasn't for Zach Wilson then Mac Jones would be the worst quarterback in the NFL.

Matt Patricia and Joe Judge are clearly out of their depth and need replaced next season but they aren't throwing brutal inaccurate passes.

After his performance this year??

You are going to extremely upset next year. You should prepare yourself for disappointment.

So are we in agreement to just treat this year as a throwaway for Mac but at the same time crap on Zappe for one poor half against the Bears?

The year isn't over yet I have Vegas bet on Mac. They let you bet on anything.

Yeah if they already have decided Mac isn't it they aren't going to Zappe. Zappe is a project and nothing more.

Jones has no chance if under the same coaching scheme next year. He's in a critical developmental period, and wasting it is tragic. If I'm his agent, I tell the agent he wants a trade if the coaches stay the same. If the Pats' management continues to prioritize the Shula record over front of the team's success, they'll punish him by benching him, which will get him out of town sooner.
