Game Day Thread Official Post Game Thread- Pats beat Arizona

THIS IS OUR LIVE GAME DAY THREAD:

This is where we gather to follow things on Game Day. Obviously, emotions tend to be high so if anyone gets a little crazy, the use of the “Mute” button is encouraged on anyone who may be annoying to you to control your experience and to allow the moderators to also enjoy the game.

At the same time, please take a deep breath before over-reacting for the sake of making this a pleasant experience for everyone.

Am I happy about this win ?? Absolutely , a win is a win anyway we can get it. Defense played great, six sacks !!!!!
Mac had some nice throws , if the o-line can give him some time ( and that's a big if ), he will play better.
Patricia still doesn't know how to call a game, too many screens in the game, it was borderline ridiculous. D won this game, now hopefully the O can play better going forward !!!
I'm happy tonight, will be a much better morning after the game than the last two weeks !!!

Have to hand it to Uche and Judon.
I am convinced Patricia's weird play calling is explained by complete lack of confidence in OL.
All the screens are designed to make the OL job easier and avoid getting Mac injured.

No doubt, draft and FA must 100% focus on getting some guys who can block.

The main reason the Eagles are so dominant is their OL is superb.

The Patriots are what they are. A middling team with a hopeless offense but a competent enough defense to take care of stupid, worthless teams like the Cardinals.

At least we are still playing for a realistic shot at the playoffs. I’ll take it.
Do we win this game if Murray doesn't go down? Hard to say but doesn't matter now

Sometimes better to be lucky than good. Just relieved Pats didn't lose to McCoy.

Been waiting patiently for Pierre Strong Jr to get a few carries to show what he can do. I've been yelling for the Pats to put him in when they're down late as he's a home run hitter with his speed.
Between Strong and Thornton, with a sprinkling of Marcus Jones, the team has speed on offense for the next several years… Just need the OL to allow them to unlock that speed.

Much needed win. Our offense still isn't there but clear progress. I don't know why it took us so long to do wr bubble screens when our line couldn't protect for weeks. Better late than never. Also, because of injuries we had some of our fastest lineups out there which seemed more effective. The only problem with our lineup is Agholor dropping catchable balls.

The league knows how to defend our offense when 90% of it goes through Rhamondre and Meyers. Hopefully we continue to mix in other players after their performance tonight.

Great win Ugly but I will take it all day over moral beautiful losses .

Is Trent brown still sick. His play was awful. When is Wynn back ? He was not this bad at LT. What about Marcus cannon?

We need some reinforcements next week.
Barmore
Bailey
Meyers
Wynn/Cannon.

And of course
Jack Jones
Rham
Harris
Mills
Cannon is on IR. Might be able to come off but makes sense to keep him stashed waiting to see what else develops.

Wynn didn’t show much positive iirc just lots of inconsistency.

It wasn't pretty , but always great to win and stay alive. Back in possession of a playoff seed, for now at least. We were without our top 2 WR's, top 2 RB's, 2 of our top CB's, not to mention Barmore still, and managed a win. It was the cardinals and yes they were without Kyler but give credit to the team for gutting one out under the circumstances.

Can't say enough about Judon and Uche, these guys are beasts. Looking forward to seeing what Uche can do next year if he is producing from week 1 and in a contract year.

The rookie RB's both had some good runs out there and each got a TD. As I mentioned in the gameday thread, gotta find a way to get Strong and Marcus the ball in open field. Some serious speed in this offense with those 2 and Thornton.

Good to see Bourne finally getting alot of looks, Agholor needs to be on the bench. Hopefully will when Meyers and/ or Parker are back. Henry up the seam needs to occur more often.

Onto the raiders! Pretty concerned about our secondary injuries, Vegas is going to be a challenge there. We will need at least one of Jack or Mills back. And DMC may be in protocol this week. This team surely has it's issues but still never giving up hope until we are mathetmatically eliminated.

The last time barmore played the pats destroyed the lions & browns OLs. Judon, uche, barmore & wise will be a problem.

I've seen enough the last two games. Marcus Jones is a starting caliber CB & should be out there. They hit on two rookie CBs.

This team is tough is to analyze. The offensive mess may sink their season but the defense at full strength is impressive & they have plenty of upside moving forward.

Not giving up yet. There may not be a better trio up front than judon, uche & barmore. It's worth seeing what they can do down the stretch before saying they have no chance vs. the bengals, dolphins, etc.

Seriously though.... learning all three phases as a rookie and having the gas tank to pull it off. Dunno that I've ever seen it.
Exactly. Dude is a weapon!

Mac looked a lot better and more confident after the first quarter or so. The play calling still wasn’t beautiful but it was a little better and they went deep sometimes with some success. If the OL can get even 25% cleaner, they’ll probably do okay.

I agree but I would say Mac looked a lot better throughout the 2nd half. Nice to see Mac stitch together a whole half. Maybe he can continue to improve his pocket presence.

He had some zip on the ball tonight and was moving around in the pocket much better. Of course it was against the worst defense in the league.
Next week against Max Crosby and Chandler Jones and his former OC who knows hist strengths and weaknesses inside and out, I expect it will be very challenging.

I don't even know how this team is 7-6. It's been so ugly. If this was any other coach we'd have 2 or 3 wins in my opinion.
With a real OC they're 9-4 at least

Stuck with Matt learning on the job. Needs to click for him quickly now if we're going to have a prayer.

I was reading a post earlier somewhere else.. I think twitter. Why are we so confident Miami even makes the playoffs? A late season slide for them seems possible too.

Agreed. Let's hope this Oline can improve. Maybe Wynn can return? I know. Never thought I would forward to a Wynn return.
