I've been watching Tom Brady (in a struggling performance) against the Rams. I'd say the chances of Mac ever becoming anything remotely like Tom, at whaever age, are rock solid, stonecold Zero. They're in the same league but - you know - they're not at all in the same league.

Mac could have made some of those short passes though

Flutie and Murray both are very average to below average, you want them as your QB? Wilson was only good for a short period when he ran around - the Seahawks traded him because he is washed. You just proved the point. 6' tall QBs very very rarely turn out to be good.

I thought Zach Wilson was nuts with his postgame comments, just shell-shocked nonsense. But now I realize he's entirely serious and really believes the Jets deserved to win.

Here are today's comments: "“Anybody who watched the film can’t sit here and say we shouldn’t have won that game, at the end of the day,” defensive end John Franklin-Myers said."

And, Sauce Gardner, "I’m like, ‘Ain’t no way we lost that game.’"

The fans better be ready for this one, but even more so, the Patriots players must respond to the outright insults.

Not my point. My point is simply that Tom (even conyemporary Tom) are not in the same league and never will be. To this point, Mac's demonstrated ceiling is mediocrity. If that's what you're looking for, enjoy: year after dreary year.

He won the game in the crucial moments. Our hopes now extend only to "keep the int's down." or "He didn't look TOO scared this week."

Mediocrities are to be measured by their DISTANCE from the best. The distance in this case is clearly insurmountable. Watching Tom again made this painfully clear. Brady is not a realistic 'best', though. If that's your standard, lots of QBs, even Super Bowl winning ones, would be left wanting.

I hope Mac will get better. If you’ve given up, so be it. But really, living in the present day of 2022, there are few other options for the Pats. So yeah, I’m rooting for Mac to get better.

All i said was that mac could make some of those short ten yard throws, i never said he could throw them consitently. It was a back handed complement

My recollection is that at one point they did play action on first down, faking the run and made the Colts pay for the run blitzing.

That one was because Patricia took the call out of Jones’ hands. He gets no credit for that one. Just the ones that didn’t work.
