NFL Trade Deadline Rumors, including Bourne and Agholar

So the Dolphins effectively traded Lance and got Waddle, Tyreek, and Chubb in return LMAO...
Well, and they’re paying somewhere in the ballpark of $50M per year extra.
Right, they are trading away future draft picks that let you pick some of the best prospects in the draft and then lock them in to below-market deals for five years, in exchange for known talent levels that come with top-of-market price tags. It's the kind of thing you do if you think your window is opening, because you are trading future benefit (those cheap high end prospects with long contracts) for current benefit (talented but very expensive players that may end up getting cut after you pay them their guaranteed money). If MIA gets this wrong, they end up with a few high priced stars playing alongside a bunch of scrubs, with no way to turn it around for several years.

So you want them to make a trade just to make a trade because it makes you feel better? Yikes. You know it takes 2 teams to make a trade, right? But ya i'm sure you're right a team like the Commanders or Panthers would be happy to trade back in the draft to get a WR they don't have a need for and pay him for half season just because cupofjoe on PatsFans just wants to see the team doing something

I just expressed my frustration at doing nothing & I have that right as a fan.

I don’t clap like a seal at every move we make or don’t make like some people.

Looking at their schedule, there are three games I'd expect them to win (with the Any Given Sunday caveat of course): @Bears, vs. Texans, vs. Jets.

The other six are all toss ups AT BEST: vs. Browns, @49ers, @Chargers, @Bills, vs. Packers, @Patriots.

I agree, nothing is a given for Miami this year.
Jets beat them 40-17 last time. Sure it's @Mia now but after an ass-whoopin like that it's not a slam-dunk.

Bears beat us and will be at home.

The Packers at home on X-mas might be the surest thing at this point. Man they stink.

I'm surprised they didn't move Agholor. He's seemingly behind even Bourne on the depth chart now, considering when Parker got hurt last weekend, Bourne got all the snaps.

I'd literally move Agholor for a late round pick just to get the cash back.
Still some time remaining, but not sure there are many takers. With Parker potentially missing time, we may need him as a depth option.
Dallas traded Amari Cooper to the Browns for a 5th, that was Cooper, not sure what Agholor would net in return.

I'm annoyed that the Pats didn't make a move, but I'm sure it's nothing like the frustration Packers fans are feeling right now. Green Bay needed a receiver so badly.

Yeah, I'm probably giving the Packers too much credit based on past reputation. With half a season gone, they probably don't deserve the benefit of the doubt. Still, I wouldn't confidently bet money on Miami in that game.

I'm not convinced the Jets aren't fools gold. And their win against Miami was against their third string QB, so I'm not sure we should take too much from that game either way.

I’m guessing there isn’t much incentive to trade Wynn when we likely get a compensatory pick anyway. Hopefully the lack of speculation helps him lock in on securing future money bags.

I think the Jets have a good D. They're like us. Competitive but issues at QB and not a real contender.

For Wynn to be worth a good compensatory pick he will need to increase his value by playing well for the rest of the year. I would be fine with that.
