We had a bad game (Chicago game). Not the first time and won't be the last time. Same applies to the remainder of the 31 teams. I would still rather be in our position than Chicago's.

Something tells me (1) (2) and (3) aren't the real reasons, and it's entirely because of one head to head matchup.

The Bears suck and its not a game where the stars aligned for them that will change this.

No regrets over drafting Mac instead of trading a high package or a 1st to move up 5 slots and get Fields.

I don't want to bring up bad memories (but of course I am anyway) In 1983 (Yes once upon a time the Patriots had awesome uniforms) the Bears, despite having stars ****, Gale & Walter were an irrelevant team which had done nothing but lose for twenty years (just like the Giants). Meanwhile the Patriots and even the Falcons had fielded competitive playoff teams.

Two years later the Bears and Giants were Super Bowl Dynasty Teams Of The 80's. And the Patriots, despite having only one losing season in thirteen years, were considered a laughingstock.
