As a Bills fan, Zappe scares me

I would sit Mac 1 more week, which will give him 5 full weeks from the injury. We're beating Chicago even if Zappe comes down to earth.

Let Mac get ready to face the Jets in New York, that's going to be a wild place and I'm not sure Bailey is ready for that yet.
As if playing at Lambeau is a piece of cake. Had the coaches unleashed Zappe, we win that one too. Playing amongst the heathens in Cleveland isn't easy. Any road game is difficult.

As a Pats fan, Green Sow scares me. Is this what we'll become if we go through the decades of wide right misery endured by Belles fans? A fate worse than death....shudder

I'd still like to see Zappe against a better defense. The offense looks much better the last two weeks, no denying it, but is it the competition, is it the new playbook, would Mac look just as good if not better with this simplified play calling?
There is no new playbook. It's the same one. They ran more PA than with Mac is all. They handed off the ball his first 2 games more but cut him loose vs CLE (correct choice). CLE did a decent job at limiting Rham. They couldn't stop Bailey. He picked them apart.

One thing everyone is ignoring, Bailey didn't have much UC experience in college. He was mainly in shot gun. He's handled it very well. He does extend his arm out in a weird way but it sells the PA and fools the LBs. That may be some of the details Bill talked about that he needs to work on. But as a pure pocket passer, the kid is solid. He had more attempts in this game than Mac averaged in his three and equaled Mac's highest attempts.

Patricia needs to let Bailey cook. Let him stretch the field w/ Thornton, which is what he tried to do with Mac (Parker/Agholor) not very succesfully.

If you watched every game this year, you know it's not the same offense. They are running more play action with Zappe and toning it down. Maybe they should have done that with Mac. It might have been a mistake not to do so. I can tell you though, it's a different offense.
