After a dominating performance against the Lions, we are now onto Cleveland. Does Mac come back or do we play Zappe one more time? This week won't be easy, but another winnable game. Are we starting to get on another roll like we did last year? I am thinking so!!! Who's coming on board????????

Our defense seems really really good, love the young talent, and when Dugger is in there, it makes a huge difference!!

Will need to monitor some of the injuries we're dealing with: Harris, Mills, Guy, Mac, Jonnu.

Great performance by our O-line as well.

Let's discuss!!!!!!!!

Get back to 3 - 3

Brissett has played much better than I expected.

I like the fact that BB has so much data on him predraft. Tuna Parcells recommended Brissett to BB.

The Browns are almost a carbon copy of the Lions - 6th ranked offense and 24th rankled defense. Taking away Chubb will be the key to victory, he already has 600 rushing yards and 7 TDs in 5 games. What a Beast and how on earth did the Pats think that Son of Maroney was better?

Zap is completing 75% of his passes. Keep it up Kentucky Kid. Need to fill the Damien Harris hole if he cant go.

Not sure the Pats can "take away" the run, meaning they likely don't specifically have that as a goal. Make the Browns execute 14-15 times in a row every possession, pressure on Brissett, and ensure Garrett doesn't go off.

The last time that NE lost to the Browns was in 2010 @ Cleveland vs Mangina. Remember all the trickery?

The Pats absolutely need to stop Chubb since the Browns are ranked # 1 in the NFL rushing the ball.

2 - 3 vs 2 -3
Series tied 13 - 13

Where is that numerology guy at? Banned? Sure would like to see what he has to say about this.

The question the coaching staff has to weigh is Mac Jones at 70% or whatever better than zappe at 100%.

Personally, id make sure Mac is good before bringing him back. Browns are no joke though. Nick chubb, and brisett can manage the game well. They just put 28 on the chargers.

I really like the idea of playing Zappe again.

Besides the fact that I'm not entirely convinced Zappe's not the better option even if they're both at 100%, if Mac is anywhere from 70-90% healthy (I really doubt he's 100% healthy fewer than 30 days out from a pretty nasty high ankle sprain), I have to think Zappe is more likely to be the better option in terms of on-field performance and long-term planning, since you also get the ability to further evaluate Zappe in a starting role, and give Mac more time to get healthy. Win-win-win, all around.

Worst thing you can do is put Mac out there if he's lacking mobility against that pass rush. Has the possibility of injuring him further.

I'm also curious if the OL settling down is a trend or a symptom of the competition we played. Zappe has had a pretty clean pocket vs Mac who was running for his life

Not sure the Browns can either

I think it’s an easy choice. It was proved we can win, at least against sub par teams with rookie Zappe. Play him again because ankle sprains are easily aggravated. There shouldn’t be a rush for him to return if he’s not 100%.

Blew a 13 point lead to the jest with 2 minutes to go. Only had the lead against the Falcons for 2 minutes.

They just put 28 on the chargers.

That really isn't saying much. Jacksonville put 38 up on them. Houston put up 24 on them and the thing about the Houston game Chargers were up 27-7 and by the 4th quarter it was a 3 point game.

That's a defense that reads and believes their own hype

So Strong isn't injured, he's just been inactive? They only carried 2 active RB's yesterday. That's worrisome, but this week we'll have no choice, Strong seems guaranteed to get some reps this week, and I hope he can show something. BB said it's doubtful Ty is back, and I doubt they bring up a PS RB, although JJ at least has experience over Strong. I'm just concerned putting the whole load on Rham so early in the season, we're going to need him down the stretch. Either way, Browns were awful against the run vs. Chargers, so hope we can take advantage again.

He wasn't though.

You going to try and say the OL was good those weeks? It literally got him injured and then got hoyer injured. Wynn has been abysmal.

Zappe has been good but let's not play revisionist history here. No run game, OL was a sieve. Only started to solidify last 2 weeks. And Wynn still has been trash

i think if we stack the box and BB will be able to make Brissett beating them would be great. Our defense will be ready for Brisset, i think close win

The browns have the smallest group of DTs in the NFL. They play two sub 230 lb. LBers behind them. The results have been predictable & they allowed a mediocre rushing team in the chargers to gash them.

This is a bad matchup for the browns. Their defense is similar to the chargers defenses the pats have routinely beat by running the ball & PA whether it was Tom, Cam or Mac recently.

Offensively stop Nick Chubb & make Brissett beat you. I recommended the pats ML last year when they were underdogs vs. the Chargers & I would do the same here.

Smart QB play can make an OL look great. Brady made millionaires out of his O lineman.

People are fearful that Zap just might be the better option to win. I hope that BB sticks with his mantra of doing what is best for the team.
No run game,
The Pats run game is top 10. Stevenson is a Beast and Harris is a Stud. How can anyone question the Pats RBs?

The Pats are not losing games because of the run game.

OL was a sieve.
Because when you blitz Jones he folds. Pittsburgh let him have all the time that he wanted to throw.
Only started to solidify last 2 weeks. And Wynn still has been trash
Maybe yes and maybe no.

Never thought I’d be writing this, but given the crap show going on at so many teams on NE’s schedule, 12 wins is not out of the question, and my 8-9 Pats win prediction certainly needs adjusting.
The suctitude of Cleve, Indy, Zona, and Vegas…. plus Miami’s Tua issue which could be season ending….
Right now I only bow to Buff and even they have shown vulnerability by playing too loose.
Glad my hope has been reinvigorated for this glass half empty skeptic
