I honestly thought it wasnt all that far fetched until the last 2 real possessions. That sack he took with 5 minutes left was real bad and more happy feet in ot when the pocket collapsed in the slightest. He may be great one day but hes not ready yet. Gb stacked the box and got away with it
im still more confident in him than in bh

I’m honestly not that confident in Mac that much either are you!? Im not sure a healthy Mac plays THAT much better than Zappe did …..especially with our OL that can’t preserve the pocket or pass block well…

Watch highlights of all the great quarterbacks when the protection sucks, including Brady. They all look average or worse.

Bledsoe injured, Brady in for 20 years. Jones injured Hoyer in for 20 minutes. Zappe in for ??
Zappe given the circumstances played well.. For those doubting the draft picks, we have 3 of them playing key roles yesterday.. I know what hoyer is.. he didn't do anything eye popping yesterday.. let zappe start.. also Jonathan Jones the vet got roasted multiple times yesterday.. Rodgers stayed away from Jack jones...

Going forward Jonathan Jones in the slot.. jack jones and mills on the perimeter..

The O line is good.. it's the breakdowns they have a times.. also Mac was fine before he got hurt.. he's our best option at QB to win.. if watching hoyer yesterday didn't give anyone a reminder..

Here's our next 7 opponents and 8 weeks...

Detroit Lions
Cleveland Browns
Chicago Bears
New York Jets
Indianapolis Colts
Bye Week
New York Jets
Minnesota Vikings

The only team we should fear is the Patriots, to date they have done a great job beating themselves. And that can end anytime they want it to.
Agreed! however, the Lions can score.
The jets always play us tough.. the hope is on defense.. love jack jones.Jones.. he has the perfect attitude you need playing corner.. please have Jonathan Jones back in the slot.. he's not a boundary corner.. I'd rather see zappe start even if hoyer clears protocols..

Agreed, if they don’t beat themselves and stay healthy.

How many people had the Patriots winning 14 games? Nobody did. The toughest teams remaining on their schedule is Buffalo twice.

They can lose a couple more games and still make the playoffs. They have to get better play from the QB position and stay healthy.
The AFC is a 3 team race.. KC , Baltimore, Buffalo.

The Chargers will never play to thier potential.. As a patriots fan I actually love seeing the younger players play... this kid jack Jones is a player!! I hope hoyer will be ok, however we know what he is.. let zappe learn.. if we can stay afloat until Mac is 100%.. Every game here on out will be tough..

Those are 100% winnable games, Mac, Hoyer or Zappe.

I fear that our next 7 opponents all view a game with NE as a very winnable game.

I would be ecstatic with 5-2 and happy with 4-3. I'm hoping for 7-0, obviously

Billy Zappe = the next Tom Brady ?? Sign me up

In all seriousness, Zappe looks like a very capable backup at the very least.

Zappe, with game planning around his skills, mobility and knowledge of the offense yes he could hold it down until mac retuns. However we are best suited with Mac going forward.. of course

The Lions can score but can't stop a nosebleed and Goff gives the football away like herpes on spring break. The Jests have Wilson starting again at QB... I was more scared of Flacco.

I don't think Jon Jones has been a problem, I think the defense really missed Jalen Mills yesterday. Allen Lazard is 6'5" 220 pounds and Mills is our biggest CB, they need him against those big WR's. The rest of our corners (the Joneses) are shrimps.

Zappe should start, I don't see how Hoyer clears the protocol in a week with the way the winds are blowing on concussions with Tua and the rest.

The kid played well given what they gave him to do which wasn't much. But he isn't even sniffing at Mac Jones' starting role. I have every belief that if the Pats reigned in Jones like they did Zappe, he would have performed better than Zappe did.

The kid had 99 yards and a TD even though playing most of the game and overtime. Let's not act like he passed for 352 yards and 3 TDs.

True, however go back to even when Gilmore was here Jonathan Jones was the weak link.. don't get me wrong he's fast, tough, gritty.. it's telling that Roger's showed more resistance to Jack jones the rookie.. than Jonathan.. also every game here on out is a grind.. we are going to have to grind and every game will be close.. here on out.. myles Bryant at best is a depth option.. Jonathon Jones in the slot.. mills and Jack Jones on the outside is best option going forward.. that 3rd and 10 yesterday Jones gave up was tough! Mills was missed, so isn't brady.

I'm sure the bills have us automatically penciled in as two wins.. so we can't get to ahead of ourselves we are still 1-3..

Not utilizing the TEs is hurting Macs game.. his rookie year the run game, throws over the Middle is how we moved the ball.. everything we see so doesn't BB.. and ultimately the Krafts.. BB made a comment that he likes when his player's and coaches let him know something isn't working.. Who do u see on the staff that is going to do so?..

I don't ever remember a time when Jon Jones was a weakness. He's a weakness against 6'5" WR's or TE's, but football is about mismatches. If nickel CB was considered it's own position and given a pro bowl spot, it's arguable Jon Jones would have gotten a nod multiple years in a row. He played nickel corner on the top ranked defensive backfield in multiple years.

If we play Miami with 5'10" Tyreek and Waddle you want Jon Jones out there starting. I mean they held Rogers to 251 yards passing and picked him off once. I think they need to play Marcus Jones in the slot, and he might be a better matchup against Miami over Jack Jones due to speed. Myles Bryant is a practice squad player, he shouldn't be on this roster and the coach's love affair with him is a detriment.

The Bills are taking some injury hits, the season is long. Teams that are really strong now, may not be that way in December. The Pats need to focus on improving and staying healthy. I don't think I've ever been this optimistic about a 1 win Patriot team in my life, it all hinges on their ability to get better QB play and health.

I think weak link is the wrong word describing Jonathan jones. Like you I'm sure I haven't missed a patriots game I can't recall since Brady was named starter.. I'm a fan of the game and use the eye test.. when we had the best ranked defensive backfield Jones was always the guy qbs targeted.. so like Roger's on Sunday it's telling..

The point I'm trying to make is the kid jack jones has the attitude, the make up of what it takes to be a elite corner.. Jon Jones is the best slot option due to his lateral quickness..

marcus Jones I definitely want retuning kicks and punts.. agreed Bryant is a practice squad player.. not sure who BB loves best him or rogers..

We've had plenty of mismatches against big receivers.. they win some, we win some.

Everything we see as fans and analyze, imagine the view BB and his staff have.. seeing something, making changes and improvements is all coaching.. they say your only as good as the people around you. This bills have a few inury hits however like we had for 19 seasons.. as long as allen is playing thier a force to be reckoned..

The connection with he and Diggs reminds me of how Brady snd Edelman were..

A healthy as can be hungry Mac is what we need ..

as we know this is the NFL and anything can change game to game.. yes 1-3 i definitely see the upside.. lots of positives going forward.

We need some key guys back on defense.. not sure if that's why Collins was resigned..

as far as the match up against Miami I just hope that we have something to play for other than pride by the time that game is played.. let's not forget about Joe burrow and those 6" 5 receivers in chase and Higgins.. we see them as well..
