Week 2 Pats @ Steelers pregame thread

It's trending towards the team sitting Mac, Bourne, Phillips, and possibly even Strange and Wynn and varying points throughout the game. Exactly what I said they should do.

The coaching staff needs to do what is best for the team. They shouldn't be trying to appease the idiots who erroneously believe that September games count.

Sit your best players for the rest of the preseason.

I would like to see us get the ball first if we win the coin toss. Score a TD and put pressure on Steelers with Mitch
I think that’s a good idea

BB is wasting these guys for the playoffs.

From Devin and I agree, we definitely need the defense to create more turnovers:

Aka back pain but he doesn’t want to give the Steelers any info.
Probably some truth to that. Watching him walk out of the X-Ray room was like watching a 50-year old man who just threw his back out on the golf course. That was a man in a lot of pain. I wouldn’t be surprised if he herniated a disc in the lower lumbar.

Wouldn't be with Mac either.
I'd rather throw Zappe out there instead of Hoyer.
Gawd no! That would be suicide. I am not ready to give away the game just yet. I would not want to have a green as grass, rookie QB behind center trying to throw to a bunch of WRs that cannot get open; recipe for disaster.

It is going to be a tough start to the season; the Patriots need some WRs that can actually get open. I am hoping that Thornton can help when he gets back but his is very inexperienced. I hate to admit it, but Rex Ryan was right about the Patriots; their WRs cannot get open and the blame falls squarely on the shoulders of BB.

Where are the Pats fans at? Ratings were at 23.9 for opening day where it was 31 last year. Each year since Brady left viewers have gone down. People jumping off the bandwagon.

The smell is wearing off the rose.
