Week 2 Pats @ Steelers pregame thread

I just can’t believe a Trubisky led team will beat us in 2022. My opinion of the Patriots will change if that were to happen.

@Triumph will like this from ESPN...Mac Jones is among the worst QB's in completing passes past 10 yards in 2021. Ranked #27th. Continued last Sunday going 3-9 for 80 yards and an INT.

Not sure Flores blitzes much since it didn't work out that well in last year's Wk 1 game. He'll probably rush 4 & force Mac to throw outside the numbers. Mac will need to make throws into tight windows.

Steelers D has way more talent and led the league in sacks last year. Of course, Watt out certainly helps.

Not that I put any stock in nfl.com rankings. But they rank Brady #4 and Mac #25, even though Mac outperformed Brady if you look at the stats. (except for the fumble/TD). It just shows, if this season rankings are really about THIS season after week 1, how can that be?
I mean, the offense was soft and punchless, and the OLine was like a sieve, but Mac didn't implode. Ending with a 70% completion is incredible despite the factors. We're so lucky that his back seems to be okay. We just really need the coaches to get over themselves and play the best players.

If you didn't watch either game then you might have made a point relying on stats. If you watched the games though you'd probably come to a different conclusion in who outperformed who.

Brady had a higher yards per attempt, yards per completion, and a slightly higher passer rating. Also, Brady actually got his team a touchdown. Furthermore, Brady moved his team up and down the field, with red zone issues (in this case a/k/a ****ty OL play resulting in a pair of drive ending sacks) being what likely prevented more touchdown drives.

Lies, damn lies, and statistics

Well for as bad as he is he's still twice as good as Tua so be ready for it

Exactly what you and I already knew.

I was watching Brady pass vs Dallas. Fastballs that left above Bradys helmet say 8 feet off the ground and on a trajectory downward with a slight angle on the WRs number.

That is not surprising as you are on record as saying the Trubisky and Pickens will lead the Steelers to a playoff spot. Must be because Trubisky can throw fastballs to do not go above 8ft high. Too funny.

And you are not emotionally biased? Yes, I know Deus is statistical and logical - kind of like Spock I guess.

Havent see you around making excuses for MACaroni.

The Homers could have used you.

The triggering has begun.

Snowflakes to the rescue.

Of course you try to change the subject back to Mac instead of owning your prediction. Gutless. D!ckless. But that is what we expect from Triumph.

you just saw a Tua led team lead the Phins to an easy win...given a choice I'd take Trubisky over Tua 10 times out of 10
