Its been that way every fkking year. Now all of a sudden SamBam PhD the all mighty all knowing savant who knows for sure that BB just dosent care about winning the first 4 games of the year because, you know....the games at the end of the year mean more.

Just when you think this place couldnt get any stupider.

except they still won 67% of their games in September during the dynasty. And always had that chess piece to lean on, easing your way into the year with a relatively mediocre team is potentially giving away games theyll need by the end of the year
They aren't giving games away.

They are trying to figure out what kind of team they have

I agree, not only are they not giving away games, but they are not conceding roster spots. Guys, especially early on, are still having to earn every snap and see if they deserve more time on the field. The intensity changes once the regular season starts and there really isn't anyway to know for sure how guys will handle their roles under pressure until they are in that position. I bet every team does the same thing. But by week 4 or 5 the core of the team hopefully is gelling more and more each day so that the true identity emerges as we head into the later stages of the season and then the butt-kicking can begin.

I think it's proactive excuse making. BB never used to make excuses and Parcells certainly never did.
Do I think he wants to and will try his hardest to win the games....yes
But if he doesn't...he can pull this excuse out from the vault.
BP last coached a NFL team 15 years ago, in 2007.
BP's last playoff win was 25 years ago, in 1997.
Training camp rules have changed a lot since then.
What BP said/did has little relevance today, IMO.
