2022 Patriots Roster Cut Down Day Thread

That's the **** that brings this board down - not the ones who hold the whiney *****es accountable for their diarrhea of the keyboard.
It’s gotten ridiculous. It’s to the point where reading this board diminishes my enjoyment of the team.

Personally, I think we should just let people express how they feel without someone questioning their fandom or their decency as a human being because they might express an opinion or emotion different from what you’ve thinking or feeling.

Is it a recent phenomenon where people literally get offended because someone disagrees with them. If you’re so weak in your opinions or in your sense of optimism that someone expressing a different opinion or pessimism effects you so badly that you have to lash out or belittle people for it, well, cut it out.

This forum is going downhill fast. Wet behind the ears mods are more worried about nonsense like trolling while turning a dead eye to how posters are treated and often piling on themselves for good measure.

I followed Miguel and “Patscap” here, so I’ve been kicking around here for a long time. I owe Ian and Patsfans debts I’ll never be able to pay, but this isn’t the same place, and I find that sad.
I’ve been on this board since the year it began…while the craziness of NEM is gone, you absolutely nailed it with this post.

Thanks for the info. I know they had an LSU center in to start, but he didn't even make it past the physical..
My guess is the backup center will be claimed tomorrow. All the youth with guys like Hines will be one of the draws of this team for me.

What does “elite talent” mean to you? Do tell. If you are so down on them, don’t watch. The team won’t miss you as a “fan”. Neither will this site.
Established players who are worthy of a first rounder by trade. They've traded most of their players for 3rd or less. Barmore is their best prospect but simmer down. Let's see how he does. You think this is a good roster? What player can dominate in one on ones? The Mac Jones draft gave me hope and then they followed it up with a guard. And pipe down with "don't watch them then". You sound like a homer

We are looking at a Donald type of talent and he’s only going to get better.
His ceiling is Donald his floor is himself.
I think teams would trade over a first for that.
We'll see. I hope you're right because he's our best chance. The bigger question is what players warrant double teams because they can't be blocked or covered? Barmore probably but after that? Judon? Henry? Myers?

Based on the current roster and injuries, it feels like they need to add 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 2 TEs, and 3 IOL to the practice squad (or straight to the roster after IRing somebody). Add in the specific defensive guys they probably want to keep around (Ray, McGrone, and I’m guessing T. Mitchell in one of the vet spots), then there’s not a whole lot left to wonder about.

No because you have a high sperm count so you can make kids.
Oof.
I had season tickets and gave them up when I had babies, because I was traveling internationally all the time and needed to be home for weekends when I could.
So this roster should help me get them back.
Always an exciting week to see the team come together.

After the Brady years, its been a bigger adjustment than I thought it would be.
I think most on this board would agree that there is a lack of high end talent on the roster. BB needs to take accountability for the lack of elite talent.

You are obviously on the wrong forum - this is the Pats' fans forum. There is a Brady and Bucs forum, you must have been confused. Don't mix up your GF and wife like that because the ensuing drama is a lot worse.

I can’t wait until the drought is over and they make the playoffs again. I hope soon they will be able to draft a rookie qb who ends up being the top rated rookie qb in the league.

Meh, buck up. And maybe lay off the mods, they're volunteers doing a thankless job.

Wilkerson can be given an injury settlement at the end of the week. The problem is that it would still mean he can't re-sign with the Pats until after week 4. Which is 6 weeks away.
He was not a significant contributor for two years. There was no reason to assume he would be a difference maker this year.

They made the playoffs 12 times in the last 13 years. Clearly the wheels have come off

You will probably never see him again in a Patriot uniform, and that would probably also be true if he had not been injured.

See the problem is most normal fan bases would look at a team that has the success the patriots have had over the past 2 decades and be happy. They would also understand that they went all in the last few years to eak out that last Super Bowl win. And between the way the draft is setup and the nfl stealing picks from them it is almost impossible to stay good forever. Then they would see that in year 2 of the rebuild we ended up with the best rookie/pro bowl qb in the league and made the playoffs, and be really excited about the way the team is trending.

Hi Ken,

Why are offended if "people" are offended? It goes both ways. If you want to express an opinion, and "people" want to express an opinion, why are not both opinions OK? Why do you feel "belittled"? Are other "people's" having an opinion not similar to you having an opinion?

Why do you find it sad that "people" do not agree with you? Is it because you have been "kicking around here for a long time", and therefore, your opinions should be respected?

I agree with you that "we should let people express how they feel". And if the "people" disagree with Ken, that is OK. Ken should accept that and not be offended when people express how they feel (which is not how Ken feels).
