Patriots Injury News Thornton injury update

If it means anything, it’s that Thornton needs to learn to go down and not fight through a herd of defenders (just as most other offensive skill players should do when facing 3-4 swarming tacklers). I’m assuming the injury happened when he had, like, 3-4 tacklers land on him. Depending on the angle of your arm when you land, that would break a lot of guys’ collarbones, regardless of their weight.
He was driven down hard well after the whistle.

I still think Bourne is gone. Bill has no problem depleting positions before.

I would be hesitant trading any receivers, I love our depth, but Thornton and Wilkerson are gonna miss some time already and Davante is injury prone as is. We have a good situation now.
It's just bizarre what's going on with Bourne. Media says they see him visibly upset at practices and then doesn't even dress last night.

If everyone knows we are gonna trade him they are gonna start bidding low. Would hate to trade him on that contract for anything less than a 2nd or 3rd.

I agree, very strange and reports that I heard last night was that he wasn't his usual "happy" self during his interview on Wednesday. Definitely an odd situation. Hopefully we'll get some clarification this week and he'll be running with the top unit against the Raiders.

Agreed. People were pooh-poohing his lack of muscle mass...turns out our worst fears were confirmed.
Yes All if those players with protective collarbone muscles would have been better choices. What were they thinking.

Football players fight for yards. Going down and giving uo
On a play is not how you win football games.

At the end of the day, We drafted a Wr who weighs 178lb of stick and bones. Is there any surprise he couldn’t handle a rigorous hit by a 275lb NFL defender?

Meanwhile…more productive 200lb WRs like Sky and Pickens were drafted a few selections afterward..sigh

I’ve been saying it for 10 years… FIRE our chief WR scout

IMO, he sees himself being fazed out with the new faces and the guys who underperformed last season.

Id be curious to know how many targets have gone Bournes way compared to last season. It sounds like Agholor, Jonnu, Parker, Humphrey and Meyers are seeing lots of action .
