Breaking: Gronk to Retire

Where is Bradys statement on Gronk leaving?

it's called instagram...a really cool platform. maybe you should check it out.

We have heard this all before from Gronk. Gronk did not rebut his agents comments about returning.

No word from Brady and no retirement papers = 50/50 retirement.

No, but there is no need for Gronk to say he's retiring when he could have easily said he was going to take his time and see how things go. Unlike 2018, he is not under contract with any team.

Im never on Instagram

Brady said a few weeks ago that Gronk needs to do what's best for him. That's basically Brady saying he'll support Gronk in whatever decision he makes. I'm sure Brady will call him in the middle of the season, but as Jordan Schulz (who is close to Gronk) said in the clip above, Gronk is content with how things are now even if Brady calls. Could Gronk get the itch to play football again? Sure, but as I suspected once the season ended, Gronk's injury history was going to play a major role in what he does going forward. It didn't help that Brady threw him a hospital ball vs the Rams that landed him on IR...

He was no Ben Coates but had a great career here in New England. Too bad he couldn't stay healthy. Pats would have won the re-match with Eli in that case.
Not sure if this is sarcasm. If not, while Coates was amazing to watch and needed an army of defenders to take him down in the open field, Gronk was on “God mode” during his time in NE.

Yeah, Gronk ain’t coming back…

Yep, Brady's probably regretting un-retiring ...

As a friend said to me, if you're thinking of retiring, you're already retired. He was right. Gronk, though, is a wild card. Everything he's saying now is the same stuff he said last off season. I'm gonna see how it all plays out.

No I don't buy it. TB12 won't let him get away that easy. In the end he'll come back for their Super Bowl run and he'll be healthy for once.

Book it.

Mods ask us not to slam-dunk on Buccaneers fans, OK with slam-dunks on Patriots fans.

What is this site coming to?

Its the players doing the slam dunking. Story really didn't end well for the Pats. I doubt Gronk or Brady come back for a "legends" night or anything like that. However I think out of respect for the Krafts both would come back to have their numbers retired or whatever the team wants to do for them.

Both should have retired Patriots. The fact their legacy at the very least is shared with Tampa freaking Bay is a travesty.

Somewhere, Cameron Brate is glad Gronk isn't coming back.

LMAO, Brady is the reason he's sustained even more injuries and concussions over the past 2 seasons...

Ironically, I think it was Brady's hospital ball to Gronk in the Rams game that probably forced him into retirement.

Gronk wants to focus more on business ventures…

There you have it. It wasn't a snub or that he "wants to be known as a Tampa Bay Buccaneer". Wasn't hard to figure out that this was the real reason why he didn't mention the Pats the second time. Doesn't bother me at all and neither did Brady's "snub" because it was the same reason.

We'll see. I think he'll at least get the full court press for one more go.

That’s not true for 100% of the population. I’ve had Baby Boomers that worked for me who have retired in the last couple of years. The majority of them went out of their way to finish strong, and one of them even helped train her replacement. It all depends on one’s drive.
