I had forgotten that Briscoe's final season of his career was spent with the Spirited Patriots of '76... He had a little bounce-back with Detroit the year before, and was our 3rd WR here behind Vataha & Stingley RIP...Would've been only 32 for the '77 season; why so young I wonder...

Title a bit deceiving since no black QB had ever started a game for the Patriots until Brissett in 2016 and then Cam in 2020. It'll probably be another 54 years before a black QB starts a game again.
