Patriots Player Departure Stidham traded to Raiders

It shows how Stidham sucks when they are doing this well before TC. That's how far ahead they think Zapp's ahead of him. Sorry Jarrett we never knew you.

They’re up to 3 picks in the 6th round in 2023 now, possibly 4 if they get a compensatory pick for Karras as currently projected.

Have 8 official picks with possibly of 2 compensatory picks (the JC Jackson pick is projected to be a 3rd)
- own 1st
- own 2nd
- Panthers 3rd from a 2022 draft day deal (Pats 3rd traded for Parker)
- own 4th plus the Rams 4th (Sony Michel trade)
- no 5th (Shaun Wade trade)
- own 6th, Panthers 6th (Gilmore trade), now Raiders 6th
- no 7th because of this trade

The writing was on the wall when Bill let Cam finish the 2020 season.
Or he just wanted a higher draft pick. Who knows.

It is wild that they were able to get anything at all for Stidham. I had always thought he would just be cut.

What's the cap savings if any?

What a ****ty draft pick that turned out to be. I was so stoked for him too. Thought with the right coaching, he’d really find a way to turn it on. It’s gonna sting just a bit if Harry, Stidham, Asiasi, and Keene all start the season with different uniforms on. But, better to cut your losses sooner than later I guess.

expected & good transaction for all sides at the right time

Why wasn't N'Keal Harry traded instead of the 7th rounder?
Probably because it would’ve cost an additional third or fourth to get the Raiders to take Harry? Remember they‘re trading with Josh and he knows Harry.

For Stif it’s $965,000, but as another poster said, his cap number in the top 51 will be replaced most likely with Stephenson’s $495,000 so the cap savings in total is around half a mil

Raiders got the better of this deal. IMO Stidham remains an unknown quantity and Josh obviously sees something in him to make this effort.

Stephs Cap is $1,012,265 (what you indicated would be the cap savings for Stephenson)

Cap"Saving" for Stid $965,000, so actually the Pats have not gained any cap space with the move, they have $47k less now...

Doubt it Harry is Tenth on our WR Depth chart most Teams carry Five.

He still should have more value to someone than stidham id imagine. As little as he’s accomplished, its still more than stid
