It's great to have an opinion, even if it's "out there" compared to most. That said a lot of posters let it cloud the facts. There's nothing wrong with changing your opinion especially when it's wrongWell he better offer Trent Brown a Good deal if wants to keep Mac upright or he can depend on the often injured eight games a year Wynn.
The top 8 teams in afc are significantly better loaded than us and teams 9-13 including us are super competitive . It would be a miracle if we go to post season. I am interested to see how the team improves and if we are able to unearth few gems in draft. So would be okay if we get a single digit draft position next year . Then start loading up for the next 5 years with Mac.Giving up all ready?
I was hesitant about possibly selecting Jameson Williams with BB's recent history with injuried players. But word on the street is after Williams is healed he's a can't miss Blue Chip Prospect. Jameson Williams will be a very good investment going forward and it looks like we're building towards the future win win.

I don't listen to pods or these videos even though I should but this one is good.
“There is willingness to bend” at LB. Still looking for same demeanor, physical presence but know they need to get more athletic. Josh Allen blew TF up and turned into everything every one wanted and hoped Cam would be. He still has spurts but he's really improved his placement and general accuracy. His footwork has really stood out to me. At times he would get stuck in the mud. Feet would stop and it would kill him. He's improved and proved many wrong including me (I had a 2nd on him) but obviously he's made some impressions at Gillette.
Worth a listen.
What I heard on that podcast is that the Patriots are willing to give up some size to get more athletic, but that player needs to play physical regardless, possibly beyond his size. And they’ll make adjustments to the line and secondary if they need to as a result. You’re right that Chenal really isn’t that different from the current approach anyway, Perry acknowledges that in the podcast. But I wonder if this means Lloyd and/or Dean would be on the radar now if they were to fall to 21? Are they physical enough for their size? Thanks. If true then the Pats will be picking a DT and DE like Barmore to clog the front. If the picks are Chenal and a CB, then I am not sure there is going to be a big shift. Bentley was signed since the Podcast so that indicated staying with the same 3 - 4 approach, but maybe Bentley will be more of game specific specialist? We will see. The FA signings and the draft should indicate if there is a shift.
I think/hope the shift will be made but this stands and falls with the d line imo. We need a better DE and NT who can play the run for example like travon walker/johnson and travis jonesWhat I heard on that podcast is that the Patriots are willing to give up some size to get more athletic, but that player needs to play physical regardless, possibly beyond his size. Perry brought Walker up too, and noted that given the athleticism he showed at the combine, that he did drills at the Georgia pro day with the linebackers as well. That was interesting because if he can play there too, it’s the ultimate in versatility for the Pats‘ current scheme, let alone any future changes, given his size. Pats might be all over him with 21 if he were there, but seems like he might be taken earlier.I think/hope the shift will be made but this stands and falls with the d line imo. He will go earlier, i think there is a top 15 shot easilyPerry brought Walker up too, and noted that given the athleticism he showed at the combine, that he did drills at the Georgia pro day with the linebackers as well. All the simulators have pushed Davis up the board, not down - he's usually gone in the top-12, some as high as #4. It'll be interesting to see how it all falls out, particularly since a couple of teams that would likely do to him have grabbed DTs in FA.McGinn quotes!!! Love these.
Jordan Davis
Those scouts that expected him to post “freaky” testing numbers were right. His combine included a 4.78 40, a vertical of 32 and a broad jump of 10-3. “He’s a pretty upper-end athlete,” said one scout. “He’s a 3-4 nose tackle only. He’ll go second round.” Weighed 360 in mid-March 2021. Was 370 at one point during his career in Athens. Weight woes are more about his diet than any unwillingness to work. “I wouldn’t want him in the first,” a second scout said. “But if you want a guy that just two gaps and totally controls things, this guy, they don’t move him at all. He grabs the guard or center, or both of them, and tosses them off to the side. But I’ve seen him jump into the A gap and make plays. Looks like he can run, too. And he does have power pass-rush ability.” Finished with 7 sacks in a four-year career. “He’s like that fat ass from Kentucky last year (NT Quinton Bohanna),” said a third scout. “He (Bohanna) actually did pretty good (for Dallas). Davis plays a little bit harder (than Bohanna). He probably goes second round but somebody may stretch it.” If not for his mother’s insistence that he remain in school and graduate, he would have been in the 2021 draft. “He’s got the story and everybody loves him, but I just don’t know what you do with him in the modern game,” a fourth scout said. “He plays 10 games a game. He gets in and then you don’t see him anymore. He’s not in on pass downs. He’s a giant, but he has a very, very limited skill set. He can kick ass right in front of his face. He ain’t going nowhere else. He’s not going tackle to tackle or guard to guard. He’s going center to one guard for five plays a game. If you think there’s some value in that as a first-rounder, sure, take him.” Arms were 34, hands were a huge 10 ¾.
Although Chenal is big, he tested really fast. What I heard on that podcast is that the Patriots are willing to give up some size to get more athletic, but that player needs to play physical regardless, possibly beyond his size. I was very excited about Jameson Williwms until I watched "Sauce" Gardner blanket him for a whole game....still he would be a huge upgrade for the WR corps....I was hesitant about possibly selecting Jameson Williams with BB's recent history with injuried players. The draft is like Christmas morning -- except you never get you asked for.Fuhgeddaboutim... Bill MUST trade down, Multiple times, then grab Mac's Actual teammate John Metchie early in the 3rd round, If his own prognosis is positive..
This is The Way.
From 2014 to 2020, I thought the drafts were beyond terrible! Caserio should have been sent packing by 2016, he was that bad!The draft is like Christmas morning -- except you never get you asked for.
You know you will hate every single pick.
FredFD that's a goog one.You guys are going to kill me, but don't think that Metchie is second round material. From what I saw on tape, he does not have elite elusiveness or top end speed. He would be a good late round choice; I would not take him before round 4 or 5.
