Hopefully this is the inverse of ‘patriots are front runners to land collins’ from yesterday

It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Real Pats fans know that "WINNING" free agency isn't PROOF of improvement. Proof of improvement is seen only when the team takes the field for training camp and in the games that are played for real.I am sure you were very proud of the performance in the playoff game last year. Has nothing to do with "growing up". Real Pats fans want to see action to improve their team. Maybe you are satisfied with the December swoon and the playoff game result. If so...that is not a winning attitude.
They're going all in on trying to get Watson. They're trying to show him that they're willing to gut their future to get him there now..The Saints is the biggest WTF for me. They cleared close to 100 Mil in cap space
They've been doing this since 2017 though. I'm not sure when it'll eventually come to bite themThey're going all in on trying to get Watson. They're trying to show him that they're willing to gut their future to get him there now..
I hope this isn’t true. It's hilarious that people put this all on Belichick... Ever think the Krafts just don't want to pay the money that it would take? Restructuring contracts to free up space means paying money NOW and then also paying FAs signing bonuses.
Kraft has always been a cheap f*^k
Teams have realized you can keep kicking the can down the road indefinitely as long as one year someday you are willing to bite the bullet and move on. Saints and Rams have been doing this forever. They were constantly supposed to be all in on a single year and in cap hell and then all of a sudden found the money. We are still in our mid 2000’s pragmatic building ways. Which works with an anchor like Brady who you know gives you a high floor for years to come, but isn’t how most teams get into contendershipThe Saints is the biggest WTF for me. I have heard rumblings that this is the case...I hope this isn’t true.
Yeah and Beli won GM of the year I want a recount.Rams have almost no cap space ATM don't they? Curious how they freed some up
Yeah, about that….Hopefully this is the inverse of ‘patriots are front runners to land collins’ from yesterday
Every team has to pay a certain percentage amount towards the cap each year. It doesn’t really matter in that regard. With us it’s always been about value contracts and getting a team full of B’s and C+’s instead of overspending on a couple of A+ talent. It's hilarious that people put this all on Belichick... Beli have no choice that's the consequences of a bad Draft and a FA overpay. Nobody wants Agholor at our price sucks being us.Robinson for $15.5M apy.
I don't get it. I guess it's Agholor + Harry on the outside again.
Proposing that free agency and early season moves makes NO difference seems to be your point. I disagree. BB is not infallible at team building. Far from it. He has made numerous mistakes, as you well know. We do not know details on these players...that is true. However, the thought that no judgments can be made about roster building until the day after the Super Bowl in 2023 would make being a fan a lot less fun. We all like to think we know more than we actually do. I could be 1000% wrong or you could be 1000% wrong. No one knows. I can promise you that I will not engage in name calling or belittling posts. That is a waste of time. Feel free to ignore.Real Pats fans know that "WINNING" free agency isn't PROOF of improvement. Sorry, but how would you know wtf a winning attitude is when you seem to believe that what happens now has anything but a marginal impact on what happens during games? We've see the Patriots take a bunch of SFA, slap them together and WIN IT ALL. We've seen the most potent offense the league has seen that won 18 straight games barely get double digits in the SB. We've seen the most improbable happen. On both sides.
Somehow you think that WHINING because the Patriots haven't made moves YOU deem acceptable is somehow a "winning attitude"? You think that mischaracterizing what others are saying is a "winning attitude"?
You're woefully misinformed as to what a "winning attitude" is. What you're showing ISN'T one.
Yeah, about that….
That seemed to work fine when we had TB12. Not sure it will work as well without a franchise QB or other established playmakers.Every team has to pay a certain percentage amount towards the cap each year.
