The patriots seem to be having their normal period early: re-signing their own. It is perhaps early for the patriots to sign players who might be looking around first, players like Flowers, Hicks, and the 2nd level WR's.

RETURNED
McCourty
Slater
Hoyer
Ferentz
Folk

GONE
Jackson
Karras

QUESTION MARKS THAT COULD BE SIGNED SOON (OR NOT)
Brown
Bentley
Johnson
Hightower

Trey Flowers probably gets the ceremonial "can't cut it anywhere else but New England so I have to come crawling back contract" for sure. Bill gives these out every year and it never fails. So he's coming back. I'm hoping thats not the big defensive signing.

It wouldn't solve even close to all our problems, but I'll still be really happy if/when this happens unless it's for a ton of money.

My only disappointment is not re-signing Karras. We knew that we weren't going to be in on the top free agents but there's plenty of second tier options left. WR market exploding is an issue though. Hope we don't end up overpaying for MVS.

Flowers and wagner would be steps in the right direction imo.

No thanks on fa wr’s unless youre going bargain bin. These guys are way overpriced and the tier 2 guys may just wind up like agholor .

I think we’ll mostly need to hit big on our picks this year and if things progress well go big for 2023.

Day One Winner (in consideration of prior moves as well... Mack & Williams): LA Chargers

Best FA Signing (so far): OLB Haason Reddick to the Eagles

The Bengals are doing their part to improve their biggest weakness (OL).

Wagner isn't coming here. He wants to play in LA for either team and Wilson is trying to get him to come to the Broncos. I would be shocked to see him go anywhere but one of those three teams. Belichick could shock everyone, but I doubt it.

JC Jackson is a good contract.

Ahh ok, hopefully mcmillan can contribute this year

Realize there are 90 spots to fill for a preseason roster.. but good fuking god were there not better uses of time today than ****ing around with signing Ferentz? They really couldn’t put that on the back burner? Would ideally like to NEVER see him on the field again. I’d rather cut my eyes and pour lemon juice on them.

Judon is working on it!

Johnson wasn't tendered and per Reiss...he will have a market for hos services...

He could sign here. I doubt there will be much market.

Team is gonna blow next year.
Day 1 of FA overreaction. We have to replace JC for sure. Along with holes at LB and DE/DT. Offensively if Mac improves year 2 I expect to be better on that side of the ball. Not feeling this FA wr class get one through the draft and use FA to start building the defense.

That’s a lot of holes to plug in the draft.

Agree. How about the 3Rd round TE from two years ago (forgot his name)? Much more athletic than Johnson who was also a TE in college. Would be a huge upgrade in athleticism.
