Buck/Aikman to be the new broadcast team on MNF?

I wonder who Fox uses now. They have the SB this year too

I wonder who Fox's top guys will be. The pairings after Buck/Aikman are awful.

greg olsen and whoever

You have to question if capitalism is working when you can put out a product as crappy as Buck and Aikman do, with general dissatisfaction by the paying customer and get paid like they do.

The duo of Buck and Aikman is awful.

They ruin the game for me.

you could have me wear a pink tutu and id do it for half that

Joe Buck is the the most horrible broadcaster of all-time, and this is evidence we live in an alternate universe.

I like Charles Davis, but he was possibly the worst color commentator we had last year. Just constant anecdotes about meeting with coach X or player y, while not referencing what was happening on the field, and then his summary of the late hit on Mac when the play had been blown dead was laughable.

The pairing of Ian eagle and Charles Davis made me turn the sound down by half time on just about every game... They were awful

Is he better or worse than Jim Nance? God, Nance is awful. Nance and Buck both sound like they're announcing golf games. Just one tone the whole time, barely going up or down.

And god, neither of them have a sense of humor.

Who knows, I might be only in this, but I love Michaels. If nothing else, but for two things.

1) Any time they would feature Boston for a Foxboro game, he would note how far away it is from there. It's like the camera guys are trying to add visual interest to Foxboro. And Al is just like, "NOPE, I'M GONNA TELL THE AUDIENCE THAT'S NOWHERE NEAR HERE."

2) His complete and utter disinterest in any of the commercial reads. He goes a bit monotone and to me, it sounds as if he could, he would add 'who cares' at the end of each one. "And that's Cop Rock following the game tonight. Whatever. Who cares."

Woo-hoo! That means I'll only have to see Joe Buck once a year when the Pats play their one Monday Night game! I don't watch Monday Night Football otherwise.

Even if this isn't much of a loss, the NFC is losing everyone.

Some of these guys are good. Some suck. But the fact IS....regardless of who the announcers are we STILL are going to watch. They could pick 2 fans out of the stands before the game starts and we STILL would watch the game. NO ONE watches a game because of who the announcing team is. The amount of money that is thrown to these guys are ludicrous because it doesn't matter a bit to their bottom line.

Fox announcing has been bad since Summerall retired and Madden went to ABC. With all the complaints of Buck and Aikman, it’s going to be 1000 times worse without them. Remember when Buck, Aikman and Collinsworth were the B team?

ABC’s biggest mistake was switching to ESPN for MNF, ditching SNF and losing Al Michaels.

I liked football on NBC better than CBS. CBS’s bizarre decision to switch a veteran play by play announcer in Greg Gumbal with the desk guy in Jim Nantz was idiotic. He’s a lot better than when he first started, but Gumbal was a quality announcer.

The problem with the games today are lack of iconic play by play and color voices. In fact, there are none! The game experience hasn’t been as exciting as a kid growing up in the 90’s listening to John Madden, Pat Summerall and Al Michaels. In fact, the B and C teams were back then in the 90’s were light years better than what we have now.
